Pineda's Kenpo of Green River attended the Billings Martial Arts Open on March 1, 2025, with six competitors for the team's first competition of the year. The team competed in sparring, forms, weapons, padded sword sparring, and flag sparring.
Adalind Nash led the team with five Gold medals; sparring, forms, weapons ,padded sword sparring, and flag sparring. Adalind also won the Grand Champion award for her age group.
Teammate Ayzleigh Ray also won gold in sparring, forms, padded sword sparring, and flag sparring, and a silver medal in weapons. Ayzleigh also won the Grand Champion award for her age group.
Triss Nash won gold in sparring, forms, and weapons, and silver in flag sparring and padded sword sparring.
Gary Dean won silver in Men's Black Belt Sparring.
Ron Rice won Gold in Men's Brown Belt Forms and Weapons.
Jim Dean won gold in Black Belt Weapons, and silver in Forms and Sparring.
Some upcoming events: The team's next competition will be an Interschool Tournament on March 29th in Green River at Lincoln Middle School; The 23rd Annual Frenchtown Montana Karate Invitational on April 12, and the 44th Annual Western Wyoming Karate Championships in Green River on May 10.
