The Green River City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 4 was brief but efficient. The resolution regarding the replatting of the “Sugar Ranch” Subdivision west of Green River was removed from the agenda and will be revisited later once it goes through the proper protocol with the Planning and Zoning Committee.
The council made several board appointments, including Jeff Bernal being appointed and Noreena Gunter being reappointed to the Green River Arts Council, both for two-year terms.
A number of consent agenda items were also passed, including a $20,000 contract with Lantis Productions for the city’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display, permission for the Ponderosa Bar to serve alcohol at the Mule Deer Days Expo March 21-23, and lastly a trade agreement with TRN Media involving passes to the Green River Recreation Center.
The next Green River City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
