Golden Hour Senior Center March schedule

GHSC will host their annual St. Patrick's Day celebration with a special lunch on Monday, March 17 at 11:30 a.m. The menu will include shepard's pie, Irish soda bread and green poke cake.

"This year we are having Shepard's Pie instead of corn beef and cabbage," Director Marcia Driggs explained. "This was a decision made by Debbie our Kitchen Manager and Cynthia our Activities Coordinator. When I heard this I was up in arms but after doing some research found that Corn Beef and Cabbage in an Irish-American dish and Shepard's Pie is served in Ireland on St. Patrick's Day (who knew?) along with lots of beer!"

Those who wish to participate in the St. Patrick's Day lunch should RSVP to the center. There will be no curbside pickup that day.

Lunch:

Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a salad bar served daily. Dine-in meals are $5 for seniors (60 and over) and $8 for non-seniors. Takeout meals are $6 for seniors and $9 for non-seniors. Home-delivered meals for seniors are $5.

GHSC would like to remind everyone that curbside orders are due by 10:30 a.m. each day. To-go meals cannot be packed during the dine-in time. All home delivered meals and cancellations are due by 8:30 a.m.

Golden Hour Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
