On the evening of Sunday, March 2, the Green River Fire Department responded to a fire near the Green River.
The GRFD reported that they'd been dispatched to the area of Ten Mile Road near the river, sharing their report a little after 9 p.m. on Sunday night. They explained that both local crews and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) firefighting crews were in the area to respond.
"The access to this area has proven to be very difficult," the GRFD explained, saying that they were asking citizens to stay away from the roads. "Entering this area by non-first responders has hindered our efforts to fight this fire," the GRFD added.
On Monday, the GRFD shared the update that the fire was out.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation," the fire department said.
