GRHS Cheer and Dance national champs

Current and former Green River High School students are making their mark on the national stage for cheer and dance.

The GRHS Wolf Pack Dance team headed to the National Dance Alliance High School Nationals competition in Orland, Florida last week. In their first-ever appearance at Nationals, they advanced to the finals in both the Intermediate Large Hip Hop Division and Intermediate Jazz.

The Wolf Pack came away with a fourth-place win Hip Hop and a 10th-place finish in Intermediate Jazz.

"Stepping onto the Nationals stage for the first time was an unforgettable experience, and this team gave it their all," the coaches posted on the team's Facebook page. "Their grace, strength, and passion shined in every move."

Two GRHS alumni also recently made a mark on the national scene. Trenton Collar and Oran Watts are both seniors at Utah Tech University and part of the Utah Tech Cheer team. The team recently competed at the United Spirit Association Collegiate National Championship in Anaheim, California. The team, and Collar and Watts, came away with first-place finishes in both Band Chant and Co-Ed Show Cheer.
