This past Thursday the Green River Wolves Wrestling teams hosted the always-tough Star Valley Braves. The Braves lived up to their reputation as one of the strong programs in the state, winning the Boys Varsity 40-28, the Girls Varsity 36-9 and the Boys Junior Varsity 60-20 for a clean sweep in the dual match competition.
Green River’s Head Wrestling Coach Josh Wisnewski felt that his team “had a lot of fight in the dual against Star Valley.” He was happy that the team “went out and gave it their all.” Coach Wisnewski also commented that Star Valley’s Coach Eddie Clark “always has a competitive team and we look forward to the dual every year.”
The Wolves Wrestling teams traveled to Evanston on Wednesday to take on the Red Devils Wrestling teams. This Friday, will be Senior Night against Rock Springs where the Wolves get to celebrate their “fantastic seniors.”
