Wolves Boys Basketball splits the week

The Green River High School Boys Basketball team had a week of highs and lows, securing a 61-48 victory over Jackson before falling to the fifth-ranked Star Valley squad 36-68. The results tell two different stories-one of control and execution, the other of facing an elite opponent-but both games gave the Wolves valuable experience as they prepare for two crucial home matchups.

Against Jackson, Green River came out aggressive. Their defensive intensity limited Jackson's ability to gain momentum, while their offensive execution kept them in control throughout the game. With sharp passing and strong rebounding, the Wolves maintained their lead and closed out the game with confidence. It was the kind of performance that showed exactly what this team is capable of when playing at their best.

However, their matchup against Star Valley proved to be a different kind of challenge. Facing one of the top teams in the state, Green River struggled to match their opponent's speed and efficiency. After the girls' game, the program will honor its seniors, recognizing their dedication and leadership throughout their time with the team.
