The Sweetwater County Concert Association has an upcoming concert on Tuesday, February 11 at 7 p.m. at the Western Wyoming Community College theater in Rock Springs.
"Letters from Home" is a USO-style show featuring favorite songs from the 40s through the 60s. The concert honors artists like Frank Sinatra, the Andrews Sisters, Vera Lynn, the Nicholas Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many others.
"High-energy singing and tap dancing by founder Erinn Dearth and Dan Beckmann will leave you feeling great about being human," the Concert Association said in a press release.
Program highlights include "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Sentimental Journey," "Armed Forced Medley," "When You're Smilin'," "Puttin' on the Ritz," "Crazy," "I've Been Everywhere," "Friends in Low Places," "Accentuate the Positive," "Blowing in the Wind," "House of the Rising Sun," "Vietnam War Medley," "Ballad of the Green Berets," "White Cliffs of Dover," and "God Bless the USA."
"No two performances are the same," the press release explained. "Each show will be funny, historical, and inspirational."
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for children. Membership for the Concert Association is $45 for adults, $35 for seniors and $25 for students.
