Sandra Ann Wakeman Christopherson

10/17/1935 - 1/10/25

Our loving mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Sandra Ann Wakeman Christopherson, 89, passed away on January 10, 2025, at home with family by her side. Sandra was born on October 17, 1935, to Herman August and Verda Mae Andrus Wakeman in Idaho Falls, ID. She grew up in the Grays Lake, ID area moving throughout the valley. She loved to read and excelled at school, even completing 2 grades in one year. Her family moved to Idaho Falls, ID for her to attend high school.

In 1952, she moved to Soda Springs where she met Bob Christopherson and graduated from high school. She attended one year at BYU-Provo and one year at Ricks College majoring in "getting the basics." After being around each other for five years, Bob proposed and four months later they were married on December 16, 1955, in Soda Springs, ID. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple. They have lived in many places throughout their married life with some more than once: Logan, UT; Farmington, UT; Rock Springs, WY; Idaho Falls, ID: Salt Lake City, UT; Soda Springs, ID; Orem, UT; Arco, ID; Green River, WY; Lyman, WY; and Farr West, UT.

Raising their daughter and four boys brought many friendships, memories, school sports, and family times. She felt blessed for the life she had. Sandi worked as a medical office manager. She owned two fabric stores in Soda Springs, ID and Green River, WY. She was also involved with Mike and Deena in a consignment store called "Children's Garden" in Logan, Utah.

When Bob retired, they left for a mission to Nashville, Tennessee in March 1999 with Sandi running the office. She excelled to the point that after a year at home, they were asked to return in April 2001. Sandi loved Nashville. Sandi had a firm testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She held many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A few are Primary President, Blazer Scout Leader, Relief Society President, Ward Choir Director, Gospel Doctrine Teacher, and Visiting Teacher. Her favorite was teacher.

She was a chef (four sports loving boys), talented seamstress, witty, funny, enjoyed making her house a home, antiques, family history, scriptorian, and gifted at deciphering handwriting on old records. She loved her diet coke, attending her family's activities, voracious reader, country music, beating Jeopardy contestants, and striking bargains at garage sales. Sandi was an authentic teacher to us all. Our personal "Google."

Sandi is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Christopherson; her daughter, Jill (John) Miller; sons, Skip (Cindy), Mark (Laura-deceased), Randy (Colette-deceased), Mike (Deena) Christopherson; her 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Caroline Wakeman; and her many nieces and nephews.
