The Green River High School Boys Varsity Wrestling team traveled by bus nearly 700 miles in approximately ten hours to participate in one of the top National High School Wrestling Tournaments in the nation this past week. The Wolves worked hard to make their mark in the Reno Tournament of Champions. Twenty-five wrestlers were able to gain invaluable experience competing with a huge field of wrestlers from nearly 90 high schools from multiple states.
The Green River Girls and Junior Varsity wrestlers also competed in two meets this past week. The Girls team and what was classified for this tournament as the A and B Boys teams all competed in the Joe Aimone Invitational Wrestling Tournament. They faced five other teams from Wyoming and two teams from Idaho.
Next up for the Wolves will be another top Regional Tournament Friday and Saturday, January 10 and 11, at the Uinta Tournament of Champions in Vernal, Utah.
