Women's Club gives donations to Sweetest Foundation, Stagecoach Elementary

The Women's Club of Sweetwater County GFWC thanks everyone who attended or donated to or our recent Holiday House Fundraiser. The hostess for this event is given the opportunity to select a charity and the club gives 10% of the raffle sales to that charity. This year our hostess Kolbi Mckenzie selected the Sweetest Foundation, an organization set up to help those who are considering suicide. The club presented her with a check for $241 for this cause.

Members Marcia Volner and McKenzie Hadley also stopped by Stagecoach Elementary with Robert Ross of Edward Jones today to present a check for $1,500 to the school for their swing set to be installed this spring. The money will go towards a five-point harness adaptive swing for those with disabilities. This was made possible by a generous donation from Robert Ross with Edward Jones. McKenzie Hadley is the chairman of a committee of WCSC members who will continue to do projects with the club to raise money for other areas of the playground at Stagecoach which will include not only the swings but also a balance cove, a tactile sensory area and a sound sensory area.

We have also joined the chamber in Green River and went for our first chamber luncheon there. So nice to meet new people and spread information on the Women's Club of Sweetwater County. We are dedicated to volunteer service and raise money to give back to our community. For more information please visit our Facebook page or our website womensclubofsweetwatercounty.org.
