The Green River High School Golf team hosted the annual Junior Varsity Golf Championship on Monday, September 9.
This is currently the only JV tournament in the state to medal the participants. Teams in attendance from around the region included Rock Springs, Evanston, Lyman and Pinedale.
Head Coach Karly Eyre was pleased with the performance of her young Junior Varsity team.
"Our team played their best golf to date, and we had three top 10 medalists," she said.
Freshman Raelie Pate was the lady's third place medalist, sophomore Travin Brown was the boys' 10th place medalist and sophomore Weston Green was the third place medalist by a scorecard playoff.
As a team, the GRHS boys placed third while the Rock Springs Tigers won and are now back-to-back champions of the event.
