Green River Police Department reports for Aug. 24

At 12:38 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and found the driver to have a suspended driver's license. Officers placed the driver, Morgan Bauer, under arrest for  alleged driving while license canceled, suspended or revoked - 2nd+ offense; transported her to the Sweetwater County Detention Center; issued an additional citation for alleged compulsory auto insurance violation - first offense; and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run.

At 3:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of a missing person.

At 3:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of assault.

At 6:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway.

At 10:43 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism.

Aug. 25

At 12:07 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

At 2:06 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

At 10:26 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver, Timothy Davies, a citation for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 2 p.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic hazard.

At 2:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism.

At 5:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing.

At 5:15 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued a warning for alleged valid certificate of title, certificate of registration, and license plates required violation.

At 9:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a violation of a court order.

Aug. 26

At 10:34 a.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing.

At 12:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing.

At 12:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual possessing paraphernalia. Officers located the individual, a juvenile, issued them a citation for alleged paraphernalia (possession with intent to use), and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers placed Matthew Payne under arrest per the active warrant, transported him to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:07 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver a warning for alleged speeding in a school zone.

At 6:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

At 7:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. Officers made contact with the driver, Anthony Norton Sr., determined him to be under the influence, and placed him under arrest for alleged DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater. Officers transported Norton to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, issued a citation, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing.

Aug. 27

At 8:03 a.m., officers responded to a report of a bus light violation. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they were a school bus driver and a vehicle had passed their bus while the stop arm was out. Officers located the driver, a juvenile, issued them a citation for alleged meeting or passing stopped school bus, and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:14 a.m., officers responded to a report of a tobacco offense.

At 10:43 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run.

At 6:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment.

Aug. 28

At 2:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 5:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of a found person.

At 8:43 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism.

At 10:01 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver a warning for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 10:15 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver a warning for an alleged valid certificate of title, certificate of registration, and license plates required violation.

From the RSPD:

On August 30, the Rock Springs Police Department responded to two separate vape shops that had been broken into in the early morning hours. In reviewing the video surveillance at both businesses, detectives were able to identify a juvenile suspect. Detectives were then able to secure a search warrant for the suspect's residence. Detectives contacted the juvenile suspect outside his home where he was placed under arrest for alleged burglary. During the execution of the search warrant, several items were recovered that were reported stolen. The juvenile suspect was arrested for two counts of alleged burglary and two counts of alleged property destruction, possession of nicotine and possession of controlled substance.
