"Best of the Best" play 13 intense innings

The Green River Knights Legion Baseball team hosted the Wyoming All Star Game. The game included two teams, built from the best of the best players in all of the state of Wyoming. On one side were all the Eastern Wyoming All Star players, and on the other were all the Western Wyoming All Star players. This year, showcasing the skill of the players, the intense game ended with the Eastern All Star team's victory. Overall the game lasted 13 innings and was extremely close, with a final score of 19-17.

The Knights had five All Star players compete, including First Team All Conference players Skyler Lee, Brackin Lail and Ben Lail, along with Second Team All Conference players Jace Paoli and Lander Welch.

"It was a great day for everybody," said Head Coach Ben Lail. "The game went 13 innings, and it was tied for 13 innings. There were a couple grand slam hits, and the kids looked like they had the time of their lives. Both squads had a great time. The Home Run Derby went awesome and it was an exiting weekend for the Green River Knights, that's for sure."

Coach Lail additionally expressed his gratitude to his board members Darchell Marquez and Chelsy Lail for all their hard work and making events like this possible.

"It was an honor to be able to be chosen for that, and be able to host that event, thats for sure. Hopefully we can do it again next year," ended Coach Lail.
