Green River Police Department reports for August 5

At 11:34 a.m., officers made contact with an individual with an active warrant. Officers placed Joseph Seelen under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Seelen to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:36 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash in the area of Upland Way. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had witnessed a vehicle hit a motorcycle, causing injury to the driver. Officers secured the scene and gathered statements from witnesses and the involved drivers. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital for treatment and the driver of the vehicle, Nancy Simmons, was issued a citation for alleged inattentive driving with crash. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 5:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 6:07 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired.

Aug. 6

At 12:27 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver, Matthew Mechling, a citation for alleged DWUS and completed a report of the incident. Officers also issued a warning for an alleged headlights - one on each side violation.

At 7:33 a.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

At 10:22 a.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism.

At 10:28 a.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 11:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run.

At 12:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of an animal bite.

At 3:47 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver, Jose Medina, citations for alleged speeding - vehicle superintendent's speed zone (6+ mph over) and compulsory auto insurance - first offense.

At 4:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of assault.

At 7:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

At 10:32 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued a warning for an alleged valid certificate of title, certificate of registration, and license plates required violation.

At 2:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud.

At 2:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 4:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident and issued a warning for alleged inattentive driving with a crash.

At 7:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of an animal bite.

At 8:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of abuse.

At 11:24 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

Aug. 8

At 8 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment.

At 9:41 a.m., officers responded to a report of a bicycle that had been located on the wooden walking path of the greenbelt. Officers collected the bicycle, returned it to GRPD where it was booked in as found property, and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of drugs.

At 2:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 4:45 p.m., officers responded to Probation and Parole for a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers placed Garrett Arellano under arrest per the warrant, transported him to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

Aug. 9

At 8:42 a.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.

At 12:02 p.m., officers responded to Probation and Parole for a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers placed Mark O'Donnell under arrest per the warrant, transported him to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence.

At 5:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of barking dogs. Officers met with the owner, Rabecca Duvall, issued two citations for nuisance animal - second offense, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident.

Aug. 10

At 1:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of property damage.

At 7:56 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver, Jose Medina, a citation for alleged speeding.

At 11:57 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued a warning for an alleged obedience to traffic control device violation.

At 12:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism.

At 2:51 p.m., officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave the area. Officers met with the individual, Alex Holcomb, and placed him under arrest for alleged public intoxication. Officers transported Holcomb to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, issued a citation, and completed a report of the incident. 

At 10:07 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

Aug. 11

At 12:22 a.m., officers responded to a report of an assault.

At 1:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance.

At 3:06 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued a warning for an alleged traffic control signals violation.

At 11:42 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Rocky Mountain Car Wash. Officers met with both drivers who advised that while waiting in line the driver of the first vehicle had backed up slightly, colliding with the second vehicle, which was waiting in line behind the first vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle, Diego Garcialariz, was issued a citation for alleged inattentive driving with crash, and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 4:07 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued a warning for alleged windshield - obstructed view.

At 7:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism.

At 9:39 p.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway.

Aug. 12

At 1:24 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment.

At 1:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage.

At 2:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of an animal bite.

At 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway.
