Joan L. Graham, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died Wednesday, June 12 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyoming. She was 90 years young.
She was born April 26, 1934 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Harold and Coral (Struhs) Krause.
Joan married LeRoy Graham on October 6, 1954 at LeRoy's parent's home in Green River, Wyoming. Together they were blessed with four daughters. Joan's family meant the world to her, and she spent her time working and supporting her family throughout her life.
Joan loved to dance. She and LeRoy spent many years square dancing at the Quadra Dangle Club. She also enjoyed line dancing, playing cards and spending time volunteering at St. Matthews Episcopal Cathedral and the Clothing Cottage. She enjoyed traveling with LeRoy and family, seeing new places, and enjoying new experiences. She loved to visit with friends and family and made lifelong friendships along the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband LeRoy; and brothers Gary, Sonny, Harry and Danny. She is survived by her sister Bonnie Boilsen of Windsor, Colorado; four daughters, Billie Smith (Mark) of Cheyenne, Gail Trujillo (Dino) of Laramie, Carrie Miller (Leonard) of Laramie and Kay Luft (Brad) of Eaton, Colorado; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 28 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Cathedral in Laramie with Marilyn Engstrom officiating. Honorary pallbearers are her sons-in-law. Inurnment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Eppson Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's, Paralyzed Vets or a charity of your choice.
