Green River Police Department Sergeant Monique Mead was recently promoted to her sergeant position, which was celebrated with a pinning ceremony at the May 21 City Council meeting. The pinning was performed by Monique's husband Brandon Mead and Detective Martha Holzgrafe. Fellow officers and friends and family gathered to celebrate the pinning ceremony for Sergeant Mead at last night's City of Green River Council meeting. Police Chief Shaun Sturlaugson noted that Sergeant Mead wears many hats, from being commander of the Sweetwater Bomb Squad to supervising training officers, and she "is good at everything she does."
