Indoor Track team has top finishes at State Championships

The Green River High School Boys and Girls Indoor Track team participated this past week in the Wyoming Indoor State Track and Field Championships hosted by Campbell County High School in Gillette.

Both the young boys and girls teams finished 13th out of the 18 teams participating. Green River had seven participants make the finals for the boys and girls.

The top finisher overall for the Wolves was Junior Lillian Allison, who finished second in the girls Shot Put to receive All State honors. Two of Green River’s boys pole vaulters broke the school record as both Keegan Gailey and Trace Erdman cleared 12’-6” for 4th and 5th place respectively.

The team achieved Personal Records in 25 of the 36 events.

Those who went out for Outdoor Track had one day off before practice began Monday, March 4 for the Outdoor Track season.
