The Green River High School Girls and Boys Indoor Track team competed last weekend at the Weber State University High School Indoor Track Meet in Ogden, Utah. They competed with athletes from 42 schools and hundreds of additional athletes competing "unattached," meaning they were not with a school team.
Top finishers for the Wolves included, once again, Junior Lillian Allison for the girls, who took first place in the huge field of competitors, winning the shot put with a fine early-season throw of 38-04. For the boys, the top finisher was junior Trace Erdman, who cleared 12 feet in the pole vault to tie the new school record which he set in last week's meet.
Head Track Coach Dan Hansen exclaimed that "It is coming together. The kids had some good performances."
Next up for Indoor Track is the Basin Nation Track Meet in Gillette starting at 9 a.m. this Friday, February 2.
