Green River Police Department reports for Dec. 26

At 12:25 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged valid certificate of title, certificate of registration violation.

At 4:25 p.m., officers issued a citation to Rachael Rodriguez for an alleged hit and run - unattended property.

At 9:32 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged valid certificate of title, certificate of registration violation.

At 9:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged obedience to traffic control device violation.

Dec. 27

At 5:53 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued warnings for alleged when headlamps required and when taillights required violations.

At 9:54 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation to Gaiten Arellano for an alleged yield right of way at intersections violation.

Dec. 28

At 4:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of S 2nd East Street and E 2nd South Street for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling east on E 2 S Street and the driver attempted a right hand turn onto S 2 E Street when the vehicle struck a second vehicle ,which was stopped at the intersection. Officers contacted the driver of the first vehicle and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver, Karen Barneski, of Green River, was subsequently placed under arrest and issued citations for allegedly DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater and inattentive driving. Officers transported Barneski to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.

At 4:53 p.m., officers issued a citation to a juvenile for alleged use of a controlled substance, schedule I, II or III.

At 8:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged when headlamps required violation.

At 8:42 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged when headlamps required violation and issued a citation to Mitchell Hawks for alleged no valid driver’s license.

At 9:06 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on W Teton Boulevard. Upon further investigation it was found that the driver of the vehicle driver’s license was suspended. Kelly Martinez, of Green River, was placed under arrest, issued a citation for alleged DWUS, and transported to Sweetwater County Detention Center. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 9:21 p.m., officers issued a warning for an alleged taillights required violation.

Dec. 29

At 1:22 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for speeding.

At 1:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers confirmed the warrant and placed Matthew Mazurkiewicz, of Green River, under arrest. Officers transported Mazurkiewicz to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.

Dec. 30

At 12:14 a.m., officers made contact with an individual that was inside a vehicle, with the emergency flashers on, located at Club 86 at 500 Nolan Street. Officers met with the driver who was later arrested for alleged DWUI of alcohol - incapable of safely driving. Officers transported Michael Alex Bryson, of Green River, to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:06 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding.

At 10:20 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding.

At 12:34 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding.

At 3:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding.

At 5:39 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an obedience to traffic control device violation.

At 7:19 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for alleged speeding.

At 11:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued citations to Lisa Martin for an alleged compulsory auto insurance violation - first offense and speeding - superintendents speed zone - 6+ mph over.

At 11:28 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 11:55 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Uinta Drive. Officers met with the driver and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and subsequently placed the driver under arrest for alleged DUI. Officers issued citations for alleged stop - emerging from alley violation and DWUI - alcohol - incapable of safely driving, transported Richard Molina, of Green River, to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.

At 12:39 p.m., officers issued a citation to James Oliver for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 3:37 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for an alleged turn signals required violation.

At 4:03 p.m., officers issued a citation to Randy Jones for alleged inattentive driving with a crash.

At 10:15 p.m., officers issued a citation to Carson Smith for alleged cruelty to animals (torture).
