Boys Basketball wants to be the hardest working team

The Green River High School Boys Basketball team is ready to hit the court, and to say they're excited for the new season is an understatement.

"The anticipation and energy in our gym is at an all-time high," Head Coach Laurie Ivie said.

The boys have been working hard to be prepared for a busy season full of tough competition.

"We had a tremendous off-season," Ivie explained. "Our players were in the weightroom, open gyms, and played in 40+ games. We're ready for their dedication and hard work to pay off."

Working, practicing, and training together has also created a special bond among the team members.

"As a result of their commitment, our players have spent a lot of time together on and off the court," Coach Ivie said. "We have an exceptional chemistry among our players - which will be one of our greatest strengths."

When it comes to other strengths, a lot of experience is being brought to the team by some of the returning players.

"We have a solid group of senior leaders," Ivie said.

Theran Archibald, Chris Wilson, Adrian Ruiz, and Bryson Birch are all coming back as seniors, along with several returning varsity players from last year like Hunter Lake, AJ Keelin, and Dax Taylor.

The goal for all the team members is to be the hardest working team on the floor, Ivie said.

The Wolves will have the chance to start making this goal a reality next weekend when they start the season by playing against Cheyenne South, Natrona, and Laramie during the Oil City Tip-off Tournament in Casper.
