Green River Police Department reports for Oct. 27

At 8:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Wilkes Drive and issued the driver, a juvenile, age 15, of Green River, a written warning for an alleged stop sign violation and citations for alleged underage possession of alcohol and unlawful use or possession of tobacco by a minor.

At 10:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Riverview Drive. Officers met with the driver and occupants of the vehicle. Officers issued the driver, a juvenile, age 16, of Green River, a citation for alleged underage possession of alcohol. Officers issued Sage Mahaffey, age 18, of Green River, citations for alleged underage possession of alcohol and unlawful use or possession of tobacco by a minor. Officers also issued citations to juveniles, ages 14 and 15, of Green River, for alleged underage possession of alcohol and unlawful use or possession of tobacco by a minor and citations to juveniles, ages 15, of Green River, for alleged underage possession of alcohol. Officers completed an incident report.

Oct. 28

At 12:37 a.m., officers responded to W Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a report of a loud party at the residence. Officers made contact at the residence, advised of the complaint, and completed an incident report.

At 8:39 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:46 a.m., officers responded to Lincoln Middle School at 350 Monroe Avenue in reference to a bus light violation. Officers located the driver and issued a citation to Jose Jesus Hernandez Cazares, of Green River, for alleged meeting or passing a stopped school bus.

At 9:20 a.m., officers responded to the GRHS for a report of counterfeit money. Officers met with an individual working an event who presented a counterfeit $100 bill. Officers located the individual who had paid with the fake bill and gathered information. The transaction was taken care of with legitimate currency, the counterfeit bills were collected, and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 11:07 a.m., officers responded to Smiths at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of a hit and run collision. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle had been hit while it was parked and unoccupied. It was reported a second vehicle had pulled into a parking space and after the driver exited the vehicle the vehicle rolled into the cart return which then struck the first vehicle. The driver returned to the second vehicle, got into the vehicle and drove away. Officers gathered information, attempted to locate the driver of the second vehicle, and completed an incident report.

At 11:30 a.m., officers responded to Smiths at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of a larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported their electric bike missing. Officers gathered information, attempted to locate the Ebike, and completed a larceny report.

At 11:38 a.m., officers responded to Bramwell Street for a report of civil issues. Officers met with individuals over custody issues, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:15 p.m., officers responded to West Virginia Place for a report of vandalism. Officers met with an individual who reported their car window had been broken. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 12:22 p.m., officers responded to the GRPD for a report of a juvenile that was in possession of a tobacco device while serving work restitution. Officers issued the juvenile, age 14, of Green River, a citation for alleged unlawful use or possession of tobacco by a minor - second offense.

At 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with individuals who were involved in an altercation. Officers gathered information, the parties were separated, and officers completed an incident report.

At 5:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a warning for an alleged tail light violation.

At 6:32 p.m., officers responded to E Teton Boulevard for a report of a citizen assist. Officers met with an individual who reported their spouse had stolen and damaged property. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 9:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Buck Drive and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged when headlamps required violation.

At 10:32 p.m., officers responded to Uinta Drive for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers conducted a civil stand-by while the parties separated, gathered information, and completed an incident report.

Oct. 29

At 12:24 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on S 1 W Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 12:28 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on W 2 S Street and issued the driver a warning for an alleged tail light violation.

At 2:10 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver a warning for an alleged headlight violation.

At 7:48 a.m., officers responded to Daniel Boone Drive for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence. Officers located the vehicle and observed the vehicle to be running with the lights on and an individual in the driver’s seat who appeared to be sleeping. EMS arrived to evaluate, but no transports were made. Officers gathered information; issued the driver, Stanley Smith, of Rock Springs, a citation for alleged driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked; and completed an incident report.

At 5:06 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Monroe Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 5:50 p.m., officers responded to W Railroad Avenue for a report of found property. Officers collected two bicycles that were reported as abandoned. Officers contacted an owner due to the bicycle registration and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:48 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Jensen Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 9:15 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Astle Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed and expired temporary license permit/improper registration.

Oct. 30

At 4:48 a.m., officers were dispatched to two separate calls for shots fired in the areas of W 3 N Street and Chugwater Drive. Private property was damaged at both scenes, but there were no injuries to anyone involved. The suspects were located and taken into custody. RSPD and SCSO assisted with the investigation. At 8:25 a.m., officers responded to E Teton Boulevard and Monroe Avenue for a report of property damage. Officers observed the stop sign at the intersection to be lying on the ground and broken. Officers observed signs that it had been hit by a vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:30 a.m., officers responded to Maverik at 59 Uinta Drive for a report of found property. Officers collected the item and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:59 a.m., officers responded to the GRPD and met with an individual who reported fraud. The individual reported monetary losses after being hired by an online company Data Intel. The individual received a check and was instructed to cash it and purchase money orders. The check was later found to be fraudulent. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:17 p.m., officers responded to W Flaming Gorge Way for a report of a suspicious individual. Officers met with individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute. The parties separated and officers completed an incident report.

Oct. 31

At 11:26 a.m., officers responded to Bomgaars at 1105 Bridger Drive for a report of a collision. It was reported a vehicle struck a concrete light pole base that then rolled into another vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 11:55 a.m., officers responded to Probation and Parole at 140 Commerce Drive for a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers placed William Padgett, of Arizona, under arrest, transported him to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.

At 1:17 p.m., officers responded to Greasewood Street for a report of a barking dog complaint. Officers made contact at the residence, advised of the complaint, and completed an incident report.

At 5:34 p.m., officers responded to Cumorah Way for a report of vandalism. Officers met with an individual who reported finding a substance on their vehicle and a broken pumpkin. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 6:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault. Officers met with the individuals who were involved in an altercation. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 7:28 p.m., officers responded to Trail Drive for a report of property damage. Officers met with an individual who reported the window of their vehicle was struck by an object that broke the window. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 8:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Monroe Avenue and issued the driver a warning for an alleged headlight violation.

At 11:39 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Unita Drive and issued the driver, Camden Hopkin, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed.

November 1

At 10:05 a.m., officers observed a possible abandoned vehicle parked on the side of the roadway on Chugwater Drive and observed the residence to be in violation of the City ordinance 17-3(b) Nuisance Property. Officers attempted to make contact at the residence, posted a notice to abate, and completed an incident report.

At 6:04 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on E Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed and improper lane usage.

At 11:26 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged obedience to traffic-control device violation.

Nov. 2

At 3:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed an incident report.

At 9:37 a.m., officers tagged a vehicle on Vista Place for a parking violation and completed an incident report.

At 10:09 a.m., officers tagged a trailer on Grand View Drive for a parking violation and completed an incident report.

At 10:48 a.m., officers responded to Greasewood Street for a report of fraud. Officers met with an individual who reported fraudulent activity after signing up for a timeshare deal. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 1:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals who were involved in an altercation. Officers gathered information, conducted a civil standby, and completed an incident report.

At 6:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of a scam. Officers met with an individual who reported receiving a fraudulent check from an individual. No monetary losses were reported. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 9:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault. Officers met with individuals who reported an altercation with an unknown subject. Officers identified the possible subject and attempted to make contact. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 3

At 12:44 p.m., officers responded to 375 W Flaming Gorge Way (GRPD) for a report of larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported missing property from their storage unit located at 2200 W Teton Blvd; JAS Storage. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:10 p.m., officers responded to 375 W Flaming Gorge Way (GRPD) for a report of larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported items missing from their residence. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a multiple-vehicle crash on Monroe Avenue. It was reported one vehicle was traveling west on Monroe Avenue and struck a second vehicle, which was traveling east on Monroe Avenue. The first vehicle then turned left into the parking area of an apartment complex on Monroe Avenue and struck the front of a third vehicle, struck the corner of the building, and struck several property items including a BBQ grill and three bicycles. Officers made contact with the driver and gathered information. The driver, Daniel Lefevre, of Green River, was subsequently placed under arrest and issued citations for alleged DWUI, DWUS, use of cellular telephone while driving, and compulsory auto insurance. Officers transported Lefevre to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals who were involved in a dispute. Officers gathered information, the parties were separated, and officers completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 4

At 11:52 a.m., officers responded to Expedition Island for a report of a missing person. Officers located the individual and notified the family. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:56 p.m., officers responded to Western Inn at 890 W Flaming Gorge Way for concern regarding a guest. Officers met with the guest and staff, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:28 p.m., officers responded to Bridger Drive for a report of a suspicious circumstance. Officers met with an individual who reported an unknown individual had been banging on their door. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate anyone. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. 

At 7:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals who were involved in an altercation. Officers gathered information, the parties separated, and officers completed a report of the incident.
