Green River Police Department reports for Oct. 24

At 6:10 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on E 2 S Street and issued the driver Lauren Shepard, of Green River, a citation for alleged compulsory auto insurance.

At 7:18 a.m., officers responded to a report of a bus light violation and issued the driver Ciara Hays, of Green River, a citation for alleged meeting or passing a stopped school bus.

At 11:31 a.m., officers responded to an animal problem and issued the owner Amanda Gantz, of Green River, a citation for alleged animal at large.

At 8:41 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

Oct. 25

At 1:36 a.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on East Flaming Gorge Way. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and was not pulling over. After the vehicle made several turns, officers lost sight of the vehicle in the ally behind the Hitching Post. Officers checked the immediate area in an attempt to locate the vehicle. Officers later located the vehicle parked at a residence on S 1 W Street and made contact at the residence. The suspected driver was not located. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident, which is still under investigation.

At 10:32 a.m., officers responded to E 3 S Street for a report of an abandoned vehicle. Officers tagged the vehicle and completed an incident report.

At 1:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on E 4 S Street to advise the driver about a flat tire.

At 2:27 p.m., officers responded to Bridger Drive for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported that one vehicle was traveling west on Bridger Drive when the driver stopped the vehicle in the roadway and attempted to park it on the side of the roadway by reversing. A second vehicle was stopped behind the first vehicle when the first vehicle struck the second vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle, William Edge, of Green River, was issued a citation for alleged improper backing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:04 p.m., officers met with an individual regarding domestic abuse concerns. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:07 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Clark Street and issued the driver a warning for alleged speeding.

Oct. 26

At 6:56 a.m., officers responded to a deer vs vehicle collision on Uinta Drive. It was reported the vehicle was traveling north when the deer ran across the street. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 1:22 p.m., officers observed a trailer parked on the roadway of Arizona Street. Officers contacted the owner and advised of the possible hazard. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 5:29 p.m., officers responded to the GRHS for a report of an individual in possession of a vaping device. Officers gathered information, issued a citation for the alleged use/possession of tobacco by a minor, and completed an incident report.

At 8:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in an altercation and gathered information. Subsequently, officers placed Amber Hemsley, of Green River, under arrest for alleged reckless endangering. Officers transported Hemsley to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 27

At 1:48 a.m., officers responded to N 1 E Street for a report of civil issues. Officers met with individuals over a property dispute. Officers conducted a civil standby and completed an incident report.

At 8:13 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 8:49 a.m., officers responded to Hutton Street for trespassing. Officers met with an individual who requested an individual be issued a trespass warning for their property. Officers issued the trespass warning and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:08 a.m., officers responded to the GRHS for a report of property damage. Property in the theater was reported to have been damaged. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:03 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Doe Drive and issued the driver Jill Carpenter, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed.

At 10:31 a.m., officers responded to Alabama Drive for a parking complaint. Officers observed a trailer parked on the roadway and contacted the owner. Officers advised of the possible violation, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:46 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Astle Avenue and issued the driver a warning for alleged expired registration.

At 10:55 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 12:33 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Barnhart Drive and issued the driver Amy Davis-Nixon, from Utah, a citation for alleged speed.

At 3:04 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver Linda Bradshaw, of Green River, a citation for alleged speeding in a school zone.

At 3:19 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Andrews Street and issued the driver John Lewis, of Green River, a citation for alleged speeding in a school zone.

At 3:28 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Bridger Drive and issued the driver, a juvenile, a citation for alleged compulsory auto insurance.

At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information, issued trespass warnings, and completed an incident report.

At 7:50 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Uinta Drive and E Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a two-vehicle crash. It was reported that one vehicle was traveling eastbound on E Flaming Gorge Way and was preparing to turn left at the intersection of E Flaming Gorge Way at Uinta Drive. A second vehicle was traveling westbound on E Flaming Gorge Way. As the first vehicle began to initiate the left-hand turn through the intersection, the second vehicle struck the first vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:32 p.m., while directing traffic at the intersection of Uinta Drive and E Flaming Gorge Way, officers made contact with a driver who was later found to be under the influence of alcohol. Officers placed the driver, Marvin Buckendorf, of Green River, under arrest and issued a citation for alleged DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater. Officers transported Buckendorf to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.
