Green River Police Department reports for Oct. 12
At 12:32 p.m., officers observed a property on Andrews Street that was in violation of City ordinance 17-1(a) Weeds. Officers attempted to contact the property owner, posted a notice to abate, and completed an incident report.
At 1:03 p.m., officers observed a trailer with no visible registration parked on the roadway of Clark Street. Officers observed several vehicles on the property that appeared to be non-running and items scattered all over the property. Officers contacted the property owner, advised of the violation, issued a verbal notice to abate, and completed an incident report.
At 3:26 p.m., officers responded to Smiths at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of a possible shoplifting. Officers met with the Assistant Manager and gathered information. Officers issued a citation to Sara Fahrnkopf, of Green River, for alleged shoplifting, issued a trespass warning for Smiths, and completed an incident report.
At 9:02 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Teton Boulevard and issued the driver written warnings for alleged headlight, taillights, and speed violations.
At 10:17 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver, Christina Mejia, of Rock Springs, citations for alleged headlamps - motor vehicle violation and failure to maintain liability coverage.
Oct. 13
At 3:07 a.m., officers, while on routine patrol of the area of Scott’s Bottom Road in FMC Park, observed there was a large section of buck rail fence located on the east side of the archery barn that appeared to have been hit and knocked over by a vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 6:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with individuals who were involved in a dispute, gathered information, and completed an incident report.
At 11:28 a.m., officers observed a trailer full of items parked on the roadway on Single Tree Drive. Officers contacted the owner, advised of the violation, issued a notice to abate, and completed an incident report.
At 1:53 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Powell Street and cited the driver for alleged expired registration and failure to maintain liability coverage. The driver was found to have an active warrant. Officers placed Timothy Crooks, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Crooks to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.
At 3:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Astle Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for alleged vehicle registration - expired or improper registration.
At 4:35 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Monroe Avenue and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged registration violation.
At 10:16 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Shoshone Avenue and issued written warnings for alleged stop sign violation and vehicle registration - expired or improper registration.
Oct. 14
At 10 a.m., officers made contact with an individual with an active warrant. Officers arrested Beau Davison, of Green River, per the active warrant. Officers located suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Davison was cited for alleged unlawful possession - powder or crystalline < 3 grams- 1st offense, transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and then officers completed an incident report.
At 9:57 a.m., officers responded to Smiths at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling north through the parking lot as a second vehicle was pulling out of a parking space, and the first vehicle struck the second vehicle. Officers issued the driver of the first vehicle, Joshua Cook, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with a crash and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:43 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hitching Post Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged license plate violation.
At 11:10 p.m., officers responded to a domestic violence report. Officers met with an individual who was involved in an altercation and gathered information. EMS was called to evaluate the individual, but no transports were made. The other involved party was not at the scene and later contacted officers by phone. Officers completed an incident report and forwarded it to the County Attorney for review.
At 5:12 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Astle Avenue and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged speeding.
Oct. 15
At 11:50 a.m., officers were in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and observed an individual known to have an active warrant and made contact. Officers confirmed the warrant and arrested Chantell Coen, of Green River, per the active warrant. Officers transported Coen to the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
At 1 p.m., officers responded to N 1 E Street for a report of larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported items missing. Officers met with a suspected individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:25 p.m., officers responded to a REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) report in the area of Telephone Canyon Road. Officers located the vehicle and contacted the driver. Officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver and located an open container of an alcoholic beverage. Officers subsequently arrested the driver, Jackson Gladue, of Green River, and issued citations for alleged DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater and no valid driver’s license and/ or violation of driver’s license conditions. Officers transported Gladue to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.
At 8:37 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Andrews Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged driving on roadway laned for traffic - maintain single lane violation.

At 7:42 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hitching Post Drive and cited the driver, Deborah Grace, of Green River, for alleged speed.
At 8:10 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged speeding.
At 8:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wilkes Drive and cited the driver, a juvenile, of Green River, for alleged speed.
At 8:39 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mountain View Street and issued the driver verbal warnings for alleged speeding and no driver’s license.
At 1:22 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N 2 W Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
At 1:24 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged taillight and registration violations.

At 1:42 p.m., officers responded to Bomgaars located at 1105 Bridger Drive for a report of larceny. Officers met with the store manager who reported receiving notice from their Loss Prevention Team about a possible shoplifting incident. Officers identified a possible suspect and contacted the individual. Officers issued a trespass warning at the request of the store manager. Zachery Lathrop, of Green River, was cited for alleged shoplifting and officers completed an incident report.
At 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers arrested Zachery Lathrop, of Green River, transported Lathrop to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.
At 5:01 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N 4 W Street and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged headlights violation.
At 5:17 p.m., officers responded to Elk Valley Drive for a report of a noise complaint. Officers met with the involved parties, gathered information, and completed an incident report.

At 11:03 a.m., officers responded to Maryland Drive for a report of a scam. Officers met with individuals who reported that they were scammed by an individual claiming to be a friend on Facebook. It was determined the individual’s account had been hacked and it was not the friend they had been communicating with. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report. Monetary losses were reported.
At 11:16 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of MM 91 and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
At 11:28 a.m., officers observed a vehicle that was parked on the roadway of Elk Mountain Drive that was in possible violation. Officers posted a notice at the residence and completed an incident report.
At 11:39 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
At 12:32 p.m., officers observed a trailer and a vehicle parked on the roadway of Centennial Drive with expired registration. Officers contacted the owner, advised of the violation, and completed an incident report.
At 12:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of found property. A cell phone was turned over to officers. Officers attempted to determine an owner, gathered information, and completed an incident report.
At 1:24 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Monroe Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
At 1:29 p.m., officers observed a vehicle parked on the roadway of Iowa Avenue that had expired registration. Officers posted a notice at the residence and completed a report of the incident.
At 1:46 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hitching Post Drive and issued the driver a juvenile, age 17, of Green River, a citation for alleged no valid driver’s license, MC endorsement, instruction/intermediate permits, expired driver’s license, or work permit and a written warning for alleged speed.

At 8:36 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Hitching Post Drive and issued the driver Krystal Mccort, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving.
At 8:44 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Monroe Avenue and issued the driver Joseph Wininger, of Green River, for alleged speeding in a school zone.
At 8:49 a.m., officers responded to Cumorah Way for a report of a larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported a scooter missing. Officers canvassed the area and gathered information. The scooter was located and returned to the owner. Officers completed an incident report.
At 8:58 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Bramwell Street and issued the driver a citation for Nathaniel Mccartney, of Green River, for alleged speeding in a school zone.
At 9:15 a.m., officers responded to the Bus Barn for a report of a bus light violation. Officers gathered information and issued the driver, a juvenile, of Green River, a citation for alleged meeting or passing a stopped school bus.
At 10:22 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Adams Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
At 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Mark Kalogris, of Green River, under arrest. Officers transported Kalogris to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.
At 1:49 p.m., officers responded to W Teton Boulevard for a report of trespassing. Officers met with an individual who requested to have another individual trespassed from their property. Officers issued the trespass warning and completed an incident report.
At 2:37 p.m., officers responded to West Virginia Place for a report of larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported missing fuel from a vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 2:57 p.m., officers responded to Andrews Street for a report of abandoned property. Officers met with an individual who reported finding a tire that had been left on their property. Officers collected the tire and completed an incident report.
At 3:56 p.m., officers responded to the GRPD for a report of a larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported their bike had been taken. They found the bike but wanted to report the damage caused to the bike. Officers met with the suspected individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 5:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Crossbow Street and issued the driver Liberty Eddy, of Rock Springs, citations for alleged stop sign violation and careless driving.
At 5:23 p.m., officers responded to the GR Rec Center located at 1775 Hitching Post Drive for a report of an unconscious individual. EMS was called and transported one individual. Officers contacted two individuals who were found to be under the influence of alcohol. Subsequently, officers placed the individuals under arrest and issued a citation for alleged public intoxication to Isaiah Maestas, of Rock Springs and issued citations for alleged public intoxication, underage consumption, and interference with peace officer to Allyn Ekker, of Superior. Officers transported Maestas and Ekker to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:02 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver a warning for an alleged tail light violation.
At 9:26 p.m., officers responded to Midwest Drive for a report of a barking dog complaint. Officers attempted to make contact at the residence and then made contact by phone with the dog owner. Officers advised of the complaint and completed an incident report.
At 11:34 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Fuel Station and issued the driver a verbal warning.

At 1:39 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on E Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver a warning for alleged speeding.

At 12:48 a.m., officers responded to Bridger Drive for a report of a suspicious circumstance. Officers met with an individual who reported another individual dropped items from a backpack and was not sure what the items were. Officers collected the items and determined the items to be of no significance. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 2:26 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a warning for alleged speeding.
At 3:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Astle Avenue and issued the driver a warning for alleged speeding.
At 4:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved, gathered information, and completed an incident report.
At 8:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers met an individual who reported the altercation, gathered information, and completed an incident report. Officers were unable to contact the other involved party.
Oct. 22
At 12:17 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision. Officers met with the driver of the first vehicle, who reported they had been traveling eastbound on W Flaming Gorge Way when a second vehicle approached them from behind at a high rate of speed and then collided with the rear bumper of their vehicle. After the second vehicle collided with the first vehicle, the second vehicle then headed westbound toward the highway. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 1:01 a.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic hazard on the I-80 off-ramp at MM 91. Officers observed a vehicle stopped diagonally in the lane of travel of the westbound off-ramp with the rear driver-side tire up on the concrete median separating the on and off-ramps. Officers observed the vehicle to be running and an occupant inside who appeared to be passed out in the driver’s seat. Officers made contact with the driver and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic-based beverage emitting from the driver. Orlando Jimenez Vielmas, of Nevada, was subsequently arrested and issued a citation for alleged DWUI alcohol incapable of safely driving. Officers transported Jimenez Vielmas to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 3:32 p.m., officers responded to Subway at 220 Uinta Drive for a report of public indecency. It was reported an individual had exposed their genitals while in the restaurant. Subsequently, officers placed Lewis Raymond Cox, of Colorado, under arrest for alleged indecent exposure. Officers transported Cox to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
Oct. 23
At 12:01 p.m., officers responded to Bridger Drive for a report of a citizen assist. Officers met with an individual who reported concerns regarding narcotics. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 1:39 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver a warning for an alleged brake light violation.
At 8:37 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on E Teton Boulevard and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged stop sign violation.
