Green River Police Department reports for Oct. 7

At 6:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hitching Post Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged no valid driver’s license, MC endorsement, instruction/intermediate permit, expired driver’s license, work permit.

At 7:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute and gathered information. The parties separated and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 9:46 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver a written warning for alleged following too closely.

At 10:08 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Nolan Street and issued the driver verbal warnings for alleged speeding and a stop light violation.

Oct. 8

At 9:18 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported receiving harassing messages. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:28 a.m., officers responded to Stephens Street for a report of a scam. Officers met with an individual who reported their Facebook account had been hacked and now the person was impersonating them and asking people for money. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 12:35 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 5:28 p.m., officers responded to Smiths at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of a hit and run collision. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:30 p.m., officers responded to N Riverbend Drive for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported the first vehicle backed out of a driveway and struck the second vehicle, which was unoccupied and parked on the west side of the roadway at the time of the crash. Officers issued the driver of the first vehicle, Keri Ann Nelson, of Green River, a citation for alleged improper backing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 9

At 12:32 p.m., officers responded to E Flaming Gorge Way for a report of property damage. Officers met with an individual who reported they were driving eastbound when an object struck the windshield, causing damage. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:50 p.m., officers responded to Windriver Drive for a report of larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported their wallet missing and fraudulent charges made to their credit card. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 5:30 p.m., officers were contacted by an individual who reported two juveniles as missing. Both juveniles were located and were okay. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 7:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported an item that had been in front of their residence was missing. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

Oct. 10

At 8:04 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver, Kari Huntington, of Green River, a citation for alleged vehicle registration - expired or improper registration.

At 10:09 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Evans Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged stop - emerging from alley violation.

At 10:14 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Jensen Street and issued the driver citations for alleged stop sign violation and no proof of liability insurance.

At 10:44 p.m., officers conducted a field contact with the driver of a vehicle that was parked at the Expedition Island. Officers detected the odor of burnt marijuana. Multiple items of paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. Officers cited Spencer Davis, of Green River, for alleged paraphernalia - possession with intent to use. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

Oct. 11

At 7 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a deer. It was reported the vehicle was traveling Westbound on Shoshone Avenue when the vehicle struck both an adult deer and a fawn. Officers gathered information, observed the fawn to be deceased, and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Uinta Drive, Riverview Drive, and Astle Avenue. It was reported one vehicle was traveling westbound on Astle Avenue entering the intersection and a second vehicle was traveling eastbound initiating a left-hand turn onto Uinta Drive when the vehicles collided. The driver of the second vehicle, Sherry Percival King, of Rock Springs, was issued a citation for alleged failure to yield the right of way at the intersection.

At 10:05 a.m., officers observed an abandoned vehicle in the city parking lot on Riverview Drive. Officers posted a notice on the vehicle and completed an incident report.

At 1:18 p.m., officers observed several vehicles in violation parked in the area of Bramwell Street. Officers contacted the owner, advised of the violation, and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:37 p.m., officers observed a vehicle parked on the roadway of Nolan Street and contacted the owner. Officers advised of the violation and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vicious dog in the area of Logan Street. Officers cited Sandra Lauze, of Green River, for alleged vicious animal.

At 2:16 p.m., officers observed a trailer parked on the roadway in the area of Crossbow Court with no visible registration. Officers attempted to contact the owner, posted a notice, and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:39 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Mountain View Street for a report of nuisance weeds. Officers observed the property to be in violation and contacted an individual who advised they would contact the homeowner. Officers completed an incident report.

Oct. 12

At 5:16 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 2 S Street and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged headlights violation.

At 5:32 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Powell Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed. 

At 8:14 a.m., officers responded to the GRHS for a report of an individual possessing a tobacco vaping device. Officers issued a citation for the alleged use or possession of tobacco by a minor and completed an incident report. 

At 10:28 a.m., officers observed a property on S Center Street that was in violation of City ordinance 17-1(a) Weeds. Officers contacted the property owner, advised of the violation, issued a verbal notice to abate, and completed an incident report.

At 10:40 a.m., officers observed a property on S Center Street that was in violation of City ordinance 17-3(b) Nuisance Property. Officers contacted the property owner, advised of the violation, and issued a verbal notice to abate.
