Green River Police Department reports for Sept. 19

At 8:11 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Upland Way and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged vehicle registration violation.

At 9:54 p.m.,CSOs responded to a report of a parking violation. Officers met with the owner of a motorhome that was in violation, issued a notice to abate, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:19 a.m., officers responded to Smiths at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of found property. Officers collected debit cards, contacted owners, and returned the cards.

At 10:35 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Astle Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 11:23 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bramwell Street and issued the driver, a juvenile, age 15, of Green River, citations for alleged obedience to a traffic-control device violation, no valid driver's license and/or violation of driver's license conditions; and issued a citation to Jeanna Martin, of Green River, for alleged allowing minor without driver's license to drive.

At 3:22 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver, Micha Paisley, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed.

At 4:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with active warrants. Officers confirmed the warrant and placed Kaylee Gordon, of Rock Springs, under arrest per the active warrants. Officers transported Gordon to the Sweetwater County Detention Center.

At 9:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud. Officers met with an individual who reported their card was overcharged after it was used at Subway. The amount charged did not match the receipt given. The individual stated they had contacted Subway but had not been given a resolution. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

Sept. 20

At 9:26 a.m., officers responded to the Bus Barn in reference to a report of a bus light violation that occurred on Tuesday, September 19, at approximately 3:04 p.m., on Colorado Drive and Kentucky Street. Officers gathered information and contacted the driver of the vehicle. Officers issued a citation for alleged meeting or passing a stopped school bus to Amanda Pitt, of Green River, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:35 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats. Officers met with an individual who reported receiving threats from a known individual. Officers gathered information and completed an initial report of the incident.

At 10:42 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged speeding.

At 12:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision in the GRHS parking lot.

At 7:59 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a written warning for alleged tail lights required violation.

At 8:34 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a written warning for alleged following too closely.

Sept. 21

At 10:24 a.m., officers responded to the Bus Barn in reference to a report of a bus light violation that occurred near the intersection of Evans Street and Wilkes Drive. Officers gathered information and contacted the driver of the vehicle. Officers issued a citation for alleged meeting or passing a stopped school bus to Janae Asay, of Green River, and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with both parties who advised they had been in a verbal argument but had calmed down prior to officer arrival. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 4:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision at Scott's Bottom. Officers observed the vehicle had left the roadway and crashed into a tree and shrubs and was unable to be moved. Officers issued the driver, a juvenile, of Green River, a citation for alleged careless driving and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their child's bike had been damaged while they were at school. Officers then met with the juvenile suspect who admitted to causing the damages and agreed to resolve the issue with the reporting party. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 4:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver, a juvenile, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed - generally.

At 11:32 p.m., officers responded to a report of an intoxicated driver at Maverik. Officers met with the driver and determined them to be under the influence. Officers placed the driver, Armando James, of Arizona, under arrest for alleged DWUI alcohol - incapable of safely driving - 2nd offense and DWUS. Officers transported James to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

Sept. 22

At 7:51 a.m., officers assisted RSPD with locating a runaway juvenile. Officers located the juvenile, returned them to their parents,  and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:08 a.m., officers received a complaint regarding nuisance property on Driftwood Street. Officers met with the property owner who advised they would get the property cleaned up. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 9:59 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had been parked on Colorado Street for several years. Officers tagged the vehicle and made contact with the owner. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 10:41 a.m., officers received a complaint regarding nuisance property on Nebraska Street. Officers met with the property owner who advised they would get the property cleaned up and vehicles covered. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 11:10 a.m., officers received a complaint regarding nuisance property on Nebraska Street. Officers met with the property owner who advised they would get the property cleaned up. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:42 p.m., officers while on another call observed what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle on W Teton Boulevard. Officers tagged the vehicle and attempted to make contact with the owner. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 2 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run that had occurred a few days prior. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they believed their vehicle had been hit while at Smith's. Officers determined the vehicle had not been hit at Smith's and could not determine where or when the vehicle had been hit. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 10:23 p.m., officers, while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle commit a stop sign violation. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of W Flaming Gorge and N 5th W Street. Officers found the driver to be impaired and issued Richard Terry, of Green River, citations for alleged stop sign violation and DWUI. Officers placed Terry under arrest for DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater. Officers transported Terry to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

Sept. 23

At 5:45 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver, William Ray, of Houston, Texas a citation for alleged compulsory auto insurance - 1st offense.

At 6:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual needing to be trespassed from Family Dollar. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they believed an individual had stolen items from the store and they would like for them to be trespassed. The individual had departed from the area prior to officers arrival and was not able to be located at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with all parties who advised they had been fighting but had calmed down prior to officer arrival. All parties agreed to separate for the night to prevent further issues. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Sept. 24

At 12:24 a.m., officers responded to a report of an assault at Buck n' Bar. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had been assaulted by another patron and then thrown out of the bar. Officers met with several witnesses who advised they had not observed anything physical but the reporting party had been causing a disturbance in the bar and was asked to leave by staff. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:36 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers observed the first vehicle to have substantial front end damage and it was facing the wrong way in the northbound lane. The second vehicle had substantial front end damage as well and was facing the correct direction. Officers spoke with all involved parties and determined the driver of the first vehicle had signs of impairment and was traveling south in the northbound lane, causing a head-on collision. Officers placed the driver of the first vehicle, Armando James, under arrest for alleged DWUI alcohol - incapable of safely driving - 2nd offense and DWUS 2nd or subsequent offense. Officers transported James to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a welfare check on a dog that had been left outside without a sufficient amount of water and that the dog barks throughout the day. Officers met with the caretaker of the dog who advised they would check on the dog more frequently while the owner is out of town and that they would find a solution to the barking. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Sept. 25

At 10:43 a.m., officers responded to a report of larceny in the area of Riverview Drive. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their vehicle had been gone through the night before and several items were missing. Officers were unable to locate any evidence to identify a suspect at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Scott's Bottom. Officers met with the reporting party who advised as they had been walking along the road a person in a passing vehicle threw something out the window towards them. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the occupants. Officers discovered various other violations and issued all occupants of the vehicle citations. Officers issued the juvenile driver a citation for alleged no valid driver's license, MC endorsement, instruction/intermediate permits, expired driver's license and work permit. One juvenile passenger was issued a citation for alleged throw stones/missiles. One juvenile passenger was issued a citation for alleged possess controlled substance. And one passenger was issued a citation for alleged unlawful use of controlled substance. Officers contacted the parents of the juveniles and completed a report of the incident.
