The Lady Wolves took down the Rock Springs Tigers, winning three of the five games played on Thursday in Green River. All five of the games were intense and the scores were very close.
In the first game, Green River won with a final score of 25-22. They also won the second game with a final score of 25-23. In the third game, Green River gave up some points at the end of the game, falling to the Tigers with a final score of 24-26. The fourth game was another nail-bitter as the Lady Wolves barely lost the game with a final score of 22-25. The final game was no different than the previous games, with both teams playing very strong and wanting the last win. The Lady Wolves earned the victory, winning the game 19-17.
There were many standout players that earned the wins for the Lady Wolves, including Abigail Fuss, Eva Murray, Addison Demaret, Rylee Rosas, Taycie Fox, Haidyn Terry, Sophia Arnold and McKinley Killpack. Senior Jayla Braden has been injured and will be out for the rest of the season.
The Lady Wolves traveled to Cheyenne on Friday and played the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds. Green River had three close-scoring sets but was unable to get ahead of Cheyenne East. The Thunderbirds won the first set 25-23, the second set 25-17 and the last set 25-19.
The Lady Wolves will host another game against the Kelly Walsh Trojans tomorrow at 6 p.m. and next Thursday they will host a game against the Evanston Red Devils at 5 p.m.
