Green River Police Department reports for July 28
At 11:51 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with an individual who reported a physical altercation and gathered information. EMS was called to evaluate but no transports were made. The parties were separated and officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
July 29
At 6:47 a.m., officers responded to a report of a verbal domestic. Officers met with individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information, conducted a civil standby, and completed an incident report.
At 3:29 p.m., officers responded to Smiths at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of a hit and run collision. It was reported that the first vehicle struck the second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied, then left the area. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 5:37 p.m., officers responded to the area of Cumorah Way for a report of vandalism. Officers met with an individual who reported a verbal disturbance which resulted in rocks being thrown at a vehicle. The parties had all separated and officers completed an incident report.
At 8:05 p.m., officers responded to the report of an assault. Officers met with individuals involved in an altercation, which resulted in property damage. The parties agreed to stay separated and officers completed an incident report.
July 30
At 1:19 p.m., officers responded to the area of Astle Avenue for a report of a weapon offense. Officers met with an individual who reported hearing a loud bang. Officers canvassed the area and made contact with an individual in the area. The source of the loud bang could not be determined. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 5 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals that were involved in an altercation. The parties were separated. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:40 a.m., officers responded to the area of E Teton Boulevard for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with individuals regarding a high pitched noise in the area and dogs barking. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 12:32 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area E Teton Boulevard and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
At 5:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at Maverik at 59 Uinta Drive. It was reported that one vehicle was pulling into a parking spot at Maverik when another vehicle began backing. The backing vehicle struck the other vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of E 3 South Street for a report of a two-vehicle collision in which one vehicle backed into an unoccupied vehicle. Officers issued the driver of the first vehicle, Aden Winders, of Green River, a citation for alleged failure to maintain liability insurance.
July 31
At 11:46 a.m., officers responded to the area of Windriver Drive for a report of fraud. Officers met with an individual who reported that someone had filed a fraudulent tax return in their name and had received a return and stimulus checks resulting in monetary losses. The incident was reported to the IRS’s internal fraud department. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 12:35 p.m., the CSO responded to a residence on Iowa Avenue for a report of nuisance property. The CSO contacted the owner of the property, advised of the complaint, issued a notice to abate, and completed an incident report.
At 3:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling west on Powell Street and struck a second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied on the north side of the roadway. Officers gathered information and issued the driver Edana Jakubowski, of Green River, citations for alleged inattentive driving and DWUS.
At 11:14 p.m., officers responded to the area of E 3 N Street in reference to a disturbance. Officers met with individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute and gathered information. The parties agreed to stay separated and officers completed an incident report.
August 1
At 10:05 a.m., CSOs responded to the area of Windriver Drive for a report of nuisance property. Officers observed the properties in violation of excessive weeds, contacted the owners, issued a verbal notice to abate, and completed an incident report.
At 11:32 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Teton Boulevard and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
At 11:35 a.m., CSOs responded to the area of W Teton Boulevard for a report of nuisance property. Officers observed the property in violation, made contact with the owner, issued a notice to abate, and completed an incident report.
At 11:53 a.m., CSOs responded to the area of W Teton Boulevard for a report of nuisance property. Officers met with the owner of several vehicles in violation, issued a verbal notice to abate, and completed an incident report.
At 6:07 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Monroe Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
At 8:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of subject removal. Officers met with an individual who reported that an individual, who was previously trespassed from the property, had been there and taken an item. The subject had already left and officers attempted to locate the individual. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 10:14 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Nolan Street and issued a verbal warning for a use of a cell phone and a speeding violation.
Aug. 2
At 7:25 a.m., officers responded to the area of 1400 Uinta Drive for a report of a two-vehicle collision in the parking lot. It was reported one vehicle was pulling into a parking space when it struck the rear of a second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 8:45 a.m., officers responded to the area of Crossbow Street for a report of a stolen bicycle. Officers met with an individual who reported finding their missing bike. Officers reviewed the information and made contact with the juvenile suspect. It was reported the juvenile took the bike because they didn’t have one. Officers returned the bike to the owner and arranged for the juvenile to receive a donated bike from the GRPD. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 9:27 a.m., CSOs responded to the area of E 3 S Street for a report of nuisance property. Officers observed the property in violation, posted a notice, and completed an incident report.
At 10:08 a.m., officers responded to the area of Apache Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling north on Apache Avenue when the passenger side mirror of the vehicle made contact with the driver’s side mirror of the second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied on the east side of the roadway. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 11:21 a.m., CSOs responded to the area of W Teton Boulevard for a report of nuisance property. Officers observed the property in violation and made contact with the property owner, issued a notice to abate, and completed an incident report.
At 11:42 a.m., CSOs responded to the area of Trail Drive for a report of nuisance property. Officers observed the property in violation, posted a notice, and completed an incident report.
At 9:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers made contact with individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:10 p.m., officers responded to the area of Wagonwheel Drive for a report of a barking dog complaint. Officers arrived in the area and located a dog that was barking and attempted to make contact at the residence. Officers made contact with a caretaker of the dog who came and took the dog inside. Officers completed an incident report and forwarded it to Animal Control.

At 2:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in the area of E Teton Boulevard. It was reported that one vehicle was turning right from East Teton onto the Green Belt walking path when they struck a city crosswalk sign. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:46 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle was keyed. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 3:15 p.m., officers responded to GR Mercantile at 79 N 1 E Street for a report of property damage. Officers met with an individual who reported that a window had been broken. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:07 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Schultz Street for a report of a burglary. Officers met with an individual who reported items missing from their residence. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report and turned it over to detectives.
At 9:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued a verbal warning for an alleged registration violation.
Aug. 4
At 12:19 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Monroe Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged tail lights required violation.
At 5:32 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Evans Street for a reported disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for allegedly speeding.
At 11:47 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver Gloria Isela Bustos Lujan, of Green River, citations for alleged vehicle superintendents speed zone - 6+ violation, vehicle registration, and child safety restraint system.
At 11:50 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged headlights - (2) one on each side violation.
Aug. 5
At 6:25 p.m., officers responded to Evers Park located at 370 S 2nd Street for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with an individual who reported a verbal dispute with another individual. Officers met with the individual, gathered information, remained at the scene until the individual departed the area, and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on E 3 N Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with an individual who reported an altercation with an individual that was previously trespassed from the property. Officers contacted the subject, detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage, and confirmed the trespass warning. Officers subsequently arrested Nicholas Maes, of Green River, per an arrest and hold order for a probation violation. Officers transported Maes to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed an incident report.
At 9:08 p.m., officers responded to the area of E Flaming Gorge Way for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in a dispute, gathered information, issued one of the individuals a trespass warning, and completed an incident report.
At 11:19 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Riverview Drive and issued the driver, a juvenile, age 16, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed.
At 11:36 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged stop light violation.
At 11:39 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Crossbow Drive and issued a written warning for alleged speed.
Aug. 6
At 12 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver Derick Hemsley, of Green River, a citation for alleged careless driving.
At 4:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of a missing juvenile. Officers met with an individual who reported the juvenile, age 17, as missing, gathered information and attempted to locate the juvenile. Later the officers were notified the juvenile had been located and was on their way home. Officers met with the juvenile and completed an incident report.
At 9:01 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged headlight violation.
At 9:28 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
Aug. 7
At 3:06 a.m., officers responded to the report of threats. Officers met with an individual who reported they had received threatening text messages from an individual and then went to their residence to confront them about them. Officers gathered information from both individuals, stayed at the scene until the individual left, and then completed an incident report.
At 5:57 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Nolan Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.
