David R. Thomason, 55 passed away on Thursday, November, 26, 2020 at his home in Laramie, Wyoming following a lengthy illness. He was a long-time resident of Laramie, Wyoming and former resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming.
He was born on September 24, 1965 in Rock Springs, Wyoming; the son of Arthur Deichmueller and Virginia Christina Guillen.
Mr. Thomason attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming and was a 1985 graduate of Rock Springs Alternative High School. He attended the University of Wyoming for two years.
He worked for the Carpenters Union Local 1620 as a carpenter. He earned journeyman's status. David also spent time working in the oil field as a roughneck in and around Rock Springs, Wyoming. Ill health forced retirement as he became disabled with rheumatoid arthritis.
Mr. Thomason was a member of Elks Lodge #582 and Fraternal Order of Eagles #3493 in Laramie, Wyoming.
He loved spending time with friends and family. David enjoyed fishing and playing guitar.
Survivors include one brother, Robert "Bob" Thomason of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one aunt, Mary Thomason of Reno/Sparks Nevada: uncles: Bruce Deichmueller; three nieces, Kelly (Sloan) Erickson, Christina (Thomason) Kittrell, Virginia Thomason and four nephews; Johny Sloan, David Thomason, Andrew Thomason, Derek Thomason, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; two brothers, Edward "Eddie" Krause; Albert "Al" Thomason; one sister Jackie (Krause) Sloan. And by Aunts and Uncles: George and Donie Gutierrez; Louise Guillen; Ed Guillen; John Sloan; Kenny Deichmueller and cousin, Jerry Guillen.
Cremation has taken place; a Graveside Services and Inurnment will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
