Green River Police Department reports for May 29
At 10:48 a.m., officers responded to the area of the Overpass for a report of a found cell phone. Officers collected the phone and attempted to locate the owner. The phone was booked in and an incident report was completed.
At 11:59 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver, Evelyn Breton, of California, a citation for alleged valid certificate of title, certificate of registration, and license plates required.
At 12:02 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Virginia Drive for a report of property damage. Officers met individuals who reported finding damage to the windshields of several vehicles. Officers observed what appeared to be damage caused by a BB, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
May 30
At 12:03 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge and subsequently placed Corey Weeks, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater and no valid driver’s license and/or violation of driver’s license conditions.
At 9:34 a.m., officers responded to the area of Hutton Street for a report of an individual knocking on doors. Officers were able to identify the individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 1:01 p.m., officers responded to the area of 580 E Flaming Gorge Way for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling east on E E Flaming Gorge Way and another vehicle was exiting the Hitching Post parking lot when the front of the second vehicle struck the passenger side of the first vehicle. Officers gathered information; issued a citation to Norman Tuttle, of Green River, for alleged failure to grant right of way; and completed a report of the incident.
At 4:24 p.m., officers responded to the area of Andrews Street in reference to a report of an intoxicated individual walking around in people’s yards. Officers located and made contact with the individual, gathered information, and subsequently placed Sal Solaris under arrest and cited him for alleged public intoxication. Sal was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and officers completed an incident report.
At 7:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of four suspicious individuals in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and Uinta Drive. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle leave the area and pull into the Hitching Post parking lot. Officers made contact with the driver, advised of the complaint, gathered information, and subsequently placed Patrick Garrett Richardson under arrest and issued him a citation for alleged DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater. Officers transported Richardson to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
May 31
At 7:31 a.m., officers responded to the Post Office located at 350 Uinta Drive for a report of an individual who was sleeping inside on the floor, possibly intoxicated. Upon arrival, officers observed an individual laying on the floor covered in a blanket and a bottle of alcohol laying on the floor near the individual. Officers were able to wake up the individual and make contact. Officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic-based beverage emitting from their breath. Officers issued Alex Holcomb citations for alleged public intoxication and open container and ascertained the individual had an active warrant out of Fremont County. The individual requested EMS to respond and was evaluated. Officers then placed Holcomb under arrest per the active warrant, transported him to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:25 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Knotty Pine Street for a report of a nuisance property complaint. Officers observed the property in violation. Officers attempted to contact the owner and a notice was left on the door. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 10:39 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Adams Street for a report of a nuisance property complaint. Officers observed the property in violation. Officers attempted to contact the owner and posted a notice on the door. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.
At 10:48 a.m., officers responded to the Green River High School for a report of a student in possession of a tobacco product. Officers met with staff and the suspected individual, gathered information, and collected a tobacco vaping device. Officers issued the subject, a juvenile, age 14, a citation for alleged use/possession of tobacco by a minor, and completed a report of the incident.
At 12:06 p.m., officers responded to the Green River High School for a report of a student in possession of a tobacco product. Officers met with staff and the suspected individual, gathered information, and collected a tobacco vaping device. Officers issued the subject, a juvenile, age 17, a citation for alleged use/possession of tobacco by a minor, and completed a report of the incident.
June 1
At 12:54 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Wilkes Drive for a report of a scam. Officers met with an individual who reported that individuals showed up at their residence to pick up items they had purchased online, but the individual was not selling anything online and suspected someone was using their information to scam people. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
June 2
At 9:04 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had purchased items from an individual off Facebook Marketplace but the person never gave them the items and then blocked them on Facebook. Officers gathered information and attempted contact with the individual from Facebook but were unable to make contact at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident. This case is still active and under investigation.
At 9:41 a.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen wallet. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had lost their wallet and then later found a fraudulent charge from out of state on their bank account. The reporting party advised they had canceled all other bank cards and contacted the police department where the fraudulent charge occurred. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 5:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers made contact with the reporting party who advised they believed a friend had taken their vehicle without permission. After the initial report was made the reporting party contacted officers again and advised they knew where the vehicle was located and asked for officers to respond while the vehicle was retrieved. Officers conducted a civil standby while the vehicle and other property were exchanged. The reporting party retrieved all of their belongings as well as the vehicle and declined to press charges. Officers completed a report of the incident.
