Green River Police Department reports for May 6

At 5:34 p.m., officers responded to a trespassing request. Officers met with an individual who requested to have an individual trespassed from their property after a verbal altercation had occurred. Officers gathered information, attempted to make contact with the individual, and completed a report of the incident.

May 7

At 3:51 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a dispute and gathered information. The parties separated and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 3:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported feeling harassed by an individual. Officers gathered information, attempted to locate the individual, and completed an incident report.

At 4:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud. Officers met with an individual who reported that they had received a possible fraudulent bill from AT&T. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a dog at large. Officers attempted to impound the dog and contact the owner. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report, which was forwarded to Animal Control.

May 8

At 9:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation to a juvenile, of Green River, for alleged no passing zone violation and a written warning for alleged no valid driver’s license and/or violation of driver’s license conditions.

May 9

At 5:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle was traveling north on Stratton Meyer Park Road when the vehicle left the roadway, drove into the ditch, and then drove onto the other side where the vehicle was high-centered on a large greasewood shrub. Officers gathered information; issued the driver, a juvenile, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving; and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:48 p.m., officers were dispatched to a REDDI report in the area of Riverview Drive and Uinta Drive. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a field contact with the driver. EMS was called to evaluate the individual and the individual was transported. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 2 S Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged tail lights/license plate light required violation.

At 9:34 p.m., officers responded to a call for possible shots fired in the area behind Riverview Drive. Officers located two individuals in the area and conducted a field contact. Officers ascertained one of the individuals had outstanding warrants. Subsequently, officers placed Trenton Greene, of Green River, under arrest for two outstanding warrants. Officers located suspected methamphetamine and marijuana paraphernalia; no firearms were located. Officers gathered information, transported Greene to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident.

May 10

At 7:39 a.m., officers responded to the area of Wilkes Drive and Evans Street for a report of an individual causing a disturbance. Officers met with the reporting party and the subject causing the disturbance, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of Crossbow Drive for a report of an individual causing a disturbance. Officers met with the subject, advised of the complaint, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

May 11

At 8:47 a.m., officers responded to Lincoln Middle School at 350 Monroe Avenue for a report of a bus light violation. Officers met with the bus driver who reported that a vehicle drove past the driver’s side of the bus while the bus’s red lights were flashing and the stop arm was extended. Officers gathered information, attempted to contact the driver, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:56 a.m., officers responded to the area of W Railroad Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling north in the alleyway next to W Railroad and was turning west into the alleyway behind W Railroad. A second vehicle was traveling west in the alleyway behind W Railroad when the first vehicle crashed into the second vehicle, which was already in the alleyway. Officers met with both drivers, gathered information, issued a written warning for alleged yield right of way at intersection violation, and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:31 p.m., officers responded to the area of Bridger Drive for a report of found property. Officers were able to locate the owner of the items and return the property.

At 8:55 p.m., officers responded to an agency assist with RSPD for a shoplifting investigation that had been reported from Walmart. Officers met with a subject, advised of the incident, gathered information, and completed an incident report which was forwarded to RSPD.

May 12

At 9:26 a.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint. Officers located the residence, attempted to make contact, and posted a notice. Officers later contacted the owner, advised of the complaint, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:30 a.m., officers responded to the Bus Barn located at 100 Monroe Avenue for a report of a bus light violation that occurred at Lincoln Middle School. Officers gathered information, met with the driver, issued a citation to Percy Bromwich, of Green River, for alleged meeting or passing a stopped school bus, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:15 a.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a dog at large in the area of Riverview and Aspen. Officers contacted the owner, issued a citation for alleged animal at large to Matthew Brown, of Green River, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:35 a.m., officers responded for a phone detail regarding an individual that was hit by a vehicle. Officers made contact with an individual who reported they had been hit by a vehicle while they were walking near Logan and Schultz Street. Officers later met with the individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:48 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported both vehicles were traveling south on Uinta Drive when the second vehicle struck the rear of the first vehicle. Officers met with both drivers, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

May 15

At 9:08 a.m., officers responded with EMS to a report of an individual who had injured their hand. The individual was transported and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 9:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of found property. Officers collected a purse, contacted an owner, and returned the property.

At 12:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with several individuals that were involved in a verbal dispute. Officers advised of the complaint, gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of civil issues. Officers met with the individuals involved in a dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

May 16

At 10:59 a.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of dogs at large. Officers contacted the owner, advised of the complaint, issued a citation for alleged animal at large to Nickolas Morrow, of Green River, and completed a report of the incident.

May 17

At 7:50 a.m., officers responded to the GRHS for a report of a student in possession of a tobacco vaping device. Officers met with staff and the suspected individual. Officers issued a citation for the alleged use or possession of tobacco by a minor to a juvenile, age 15, of Green River, notified a parent/guardian, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:03 a.m., officers responded in reference to a bus light violation occurring on the previous day in the Lincoln Middle School parking lot. Officers met with the driver, advised of the complaint, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:01 a.m., officers responded to a positive “vape detected” alert at the GRHS. Officers met with staff and the suspected individual. Officers issued a citation for the alleged use or possession of tobacco by a minor to a juvenile, age 15, of Green River, and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:36 p.m., officers responded to a request for an individual to be issued a trespass warning from all of the SWCSD No. 2 properties. Officers met with the individual, advised of the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

May 18

At 4:53 a.m., officers were dispatched to Grant Circle for a report of a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival, officers could hear a dog barking loudly in the area. Officers determined where the dogs resided and attempted to make contact at the residence. Officers posted a notice and completed a report of the incident, which was forwarded to Animal Control.

At 8:51 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of property damage at the Ace Hardware parking lot at 400 Uinta Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle that had been parked and unoccupied. It was reported a flat cart struck their vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with multiple active warrants. Officers arrested Steven Lee Scates, of Green River, per the active warrants, transported Scates to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.

At 3:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run on Elm Street. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 4:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with two active warrants. Officers arrested Bethany Eva Ward, of Green River, per the active warrants, transported Ward to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed an incident report.

At 6:03 p.m., officers responded to a report of a scam. Officers met with an individual who reported they received a pizza that they had not ordered. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

May 19

At 11:34 a.m., officers responded to the area of S 5th E Street for a report of a collision. Officers issued a citation to Lisa Prime, of Green River, for alleged improper backing.

At 1:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle was traveling southeast on Scotts Bottom Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle struck a tree on the south side of the roadway. Officers met with the driver; gathered information; issued citations for alleged restricted license – 15-year-old Class C, speed too fast for conditions, and expired temporary license permit/improper registration to a juvenile, age 15, of Green River; and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle (a motorcycle) was attempting to stop at the pedestrian crosswalk at Uinta Drive and Nolan Drive when the driver lost control and crashed. EMS was called to the scene and the driver was transported. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:59 p.m., officers responded to W Teton Boulevard Apartments in reference to a report of vandalism. It was reported that a tire was slashed on the reporting party’s vehicle. Officers gathered information, but after an investigation of the incident, it did not appear the damage was caused by vandalism. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 6 p.m., officers responded to Apache Avenue in reference to a report of a theft. Officers met with an individual who reported items that were missing from their yard and vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 6:46 p.m., officers responded to the area of S 5th E Street in reference to a single-vehicle collision. It was reported the driver of the vehicle was attempting to push the vehicle when the vehicle rolled and collided with a fence and made contact with a neighboring residence. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

May 20

At 11:37 a.m., officers responded to Trail Drive in reference to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in a dispute. The parties were separated and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 12:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unattended death. Officers assisted EMS and the Coroner, gathered information and completed an incident report. No suspicious circumstances are suspected.

At 7:14 p.m., officers responded to the Star Twin Theater located at 699 Uinta Drive for a report of a hit and run collision. It was reported the first vehicle struck the second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied, then drove off. Officers met with the owner of the second vehicle, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident, which is still under investigation.

At 11:17 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Wilson Street for a report of a burglary. Officers met with an individual who reported several items and money missing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:40 p.m., officers responded to the Red Feather Bar at 211 East Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers did not observe an active altercation. Officers met with several individuals, gathered information, and all parties were separated for the night. No one wanted to pursue charges and officers completed a report of the incident.

May 21

At 1:04 a.m., officers responded to the area of Riverbend Drive for a report of two loud boom noises. Officers spoke to several individuals in the area and it was determined to have been fireworks being lit. Officers advised of the ordinance against lighting fireworks and issued a verbal warning.

At 9:28 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Sundance Drive for a report of a bicycle being stolen. It was reported the bicycle went missing from Veterans Park located at 425 E Teton Boulevard after 11 p.m. on May 20. Officers gathered information, attempted to locate the purple BMX-style bicycle with black wheels, and completed a report of the incident. 

At 11:07 a.m., officers responded to a report of an assault. Officers met with individuals (separately) that were involved in an altercation. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:47 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Barnhart Street for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was parked in front of the second vehicle and backed up into the front of the second vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:24 p.m., officers responded to Green Rock Village at 700 Crossbow Drive in reference to a disturbance. Officers met with individuals that had been involved in a dispute, gathered information, and completed an incident report.

At 7:24 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a written warning for alleged speeding.

At 8:29 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at Astle Avenue and Jensen Street. It was reported one vehicle was traveling west on Astle Avenue and another was traveling north approaching the intersection of Jensen Street at Astle Avenue. The driver of the second vehicle stopped at the stop then proceeded through the intersection and struck the first vehicle. Officers gathered information, issued the driver of the second vehicle, Shane Cynova, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with a crash, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:19 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Fox Hills Drive for a report of vandalism. Officers met with an individual who reported finding their garage door vandalized with spray paint. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

May 22

At 2:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Justin Glenn, of Rock Springs, under arrest per the active arrest order. Officers transported Glenn to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:45 p.m., officers responded to Castle Rock Medical Center for a report of a suspicious circumstance. Officers met with staff who reported an individual dropped off a package in the front reception area and then left the building. The package was not an official delivery and contained unknown contents. Officers gathered information, identified a possible subject, and attempted to locate the individual. Officers completed a report of the incident, which is still under investigation.

May 23

At 1:55 a.m., officers responded to the area of Evans Street for a report of an individual causing a disturbance. Officers met with the reporting party and the subject causing the disturbance, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
