Green River Police Department reports for March 21 - March 31

March 21

At 11:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Bus Barn at 350 Monroe Avenue for a report of a bus light violation that occurred near the intersection of Jensen Street and Bramwell Street. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The driver of the suspect vehicle has not been identified at this time.

March 22

At 2:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to Club 86 at 500 Nolan Street for a request for officers to issue a trespass order to an individual. Officers contacted the individual, issued the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:26 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. Officers met with the occupants of the vehicle and ascertained both occupants had active arrest and hold orders. Officers gathered information and confirmed the arrest orders. Subsequently, officers placed Steven Scates, of Green River, and Jordan Miller, of Rock Springs, under arrest and transported Scates and Miller to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, then completed a report of the incident.

At 5:28 p.m., officers responded to a crash on Monroe Drive. It was reported the driver of the first vehicle backed into the second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:35 p.m., officers while on the scene of another call in the area of I-80 MM 90 WB located a wallet. Officers booked the wallet in for safekeeping and completed a report of the incident. 

At 10:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals that were involved in a dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

March 23

At 6:06 a.m., officers responded to the area of Cedar Street for a report of vandalism. Officers met with an individual who reported the window in their vehicle was broken. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:37 a.m., officers responded to the area of Idaho Street for a report of an abandoned vehicle. Officers contacted the owner who advised they would move the vehicle.

At 4:05 p.m., officers responded to the area of Riverview Drive for a report of a larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported an item missing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:18 p.m., officers responded to the area of W Railroad Avenue for two suspicious subjects in the yard of a residence. Officers made contact with one of the individuals who was found to have outstanding warrants. Officers confirmed the warrants and placed John Bingham, of Rock Springs, under arrest. Officers transported Bingham to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.  

At 7:01 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Medicine Bow Drive for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in an altercation and gathered information. EMS evaluated an individual but no transports were made. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 8 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of E Teton Boulevard and Scotts Bottom Road in reference to multiple reports of a vehicle driving carelessly, speeding and spinning cookies. Officers observed the vehicle traveling eastbound on W Teton Boulevard as officers were traveling westbound. Officers noted the vehicle had a broken tail light. When officers located the vehicle again, it was parked at a residence on Kentucky Drive. Officers conducted a field contact with the suspected driver and passenger. Officers advised of the complaint, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

March 24

At 5:58 a.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in the area of Shoshone Avenue. It was reported the vehicle was traveling west on Shoshone Avenue and conducted a right-hand turn into the parking area of Lincoln Middle School when the front driver’s side of the vehicle struck a stop sign located on the west corner of the entryway. Officers met with the driver of the vehicle, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:56 a.m., officers responded to the area of McDonald’s at 599 E 4 S Street for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was stopped in the exit lane facing southwest. A second vehicle was exiting the drive-thru and attempted to go around the first vehicle when the first vehicle began reversing and collided with the passenger side of the second vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:20 a.m., officers responded to the area of Honor Way for a report of two solicitors. Officers did not locate anyone in the area, gathered information, and completed the incident report.

At 10:51 a.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported items missing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:34 a.m., officers responded to a report of a bus light violation. Officers gathered information, made contact with the driver, and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud. Officers met with an individual who reported fraudulent purchases on their Amazon account. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:16 p.m., officers were notified of an individual with an outstanding warrant. Officers located the individual and Matthew Mazurkiewicz, of Green River, was placed under arrest and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center.

At 3:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of E 2 S Street and Uinta Drive for a traffic light violation. Officers met with the driver, who was found to have a suspended license, an ignition interlock device requirement, and an active arrest warrant. Officers located suspected drug paraphernalia. Officers placed Micah Brandner, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged driving while license suspended - 2nd offense; driving without an interlock device: required for an interlock restricted license; compulsory auto insurance - 2nd offense; valid certificate of title, certificate or registration, license plates required; and possession of controlled substance - powder or crystalline - 3 grams or Less. Officers transported Brandner to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:28 p.m., officers responded to the area of W Flaming Gorge Way and N 6 W Street for a report of a suspicious circumstance. Officers met with an individual who reported they found a syringe on the ground. Officers collected the syringe and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:23 p.m., officers responded for an agency assist in reference to a report of a prior domestic altercation. Officers met with the individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. 

March 25

At 4:03 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud. Officers met with an individual who reported they thought they were purchasing a dog through the Facebook group Cavapoo Puppies. Funds were sent and arrangements were made to have the dog flown into SLC, however, the individual did not receive their dog or a refund. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. 

At 7:56 p.m., officers responded to the area of the underpass for a report of a hit and run collision. Officers observed damage to the fencing along the roadway on the northeast side of the underpass. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 10 p.m., officers responded to the Bowling Center at 1410 Uinta Drive for a report of a fight. Officers met with the staff who reported two individuals who caused a disturbance and requested that the individuals leave. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of Riverview Drive for a report of trespassing. Officers met with an individual who requested to have another individual issued a trespass warning for their residence. Officers made contact with the individual, issued the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

March 26

At 9:06 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 4 S Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged stop sign violation.

At 11:54 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 2 S Street and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 12:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Indian Hills Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 2:54 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Scotts Bottom Road and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 4:56 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported a snowblower was missing from their property. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

March 27 

At 6:36 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed an incident report. 

At 4:19 p.m., officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive for a report of two underage individuals with fake IDs. Officers met with an individual who reported that two subjects were in possession of fake IDs and had been drinking this past weekend. Offices gathered information, completed an incident report, and forwarded it to the City Attorney for review of charges.   

At 8:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with individuals involved in an altercation and gathered information. Both parties agreed to stay separated and officers completed an incident report. 

March 28

At 11:24 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Adams Street for a report of nuisance property. An anonymous reporting party reported bags of trash in the front yard. Officers observed about ten large trash bags full of trash located on the west side of the residence. Officers made contact at the residence and advised the resident of the complaint. Officers issued a notice to abate, gathered information, and completed an incident report. 

At 5:17 p.m., officers responded to the area of Schultz Street for a report of a larceny. Officers met with an individual who reported that an individual took an item from their property and moved it into the alleyway. The item was recovered, but the individual wanted to report the suspicious activity. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. 

At 6:58 p.m., officers responded to Smith’s at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of a hit and run collision. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of N 7 W Street and W 2 N Street for a report of a vehicle racing down the street. Officers met with an individual who reported the incident and gathered information. Officers located the vehicle, attempted to make contact with the owner, and completed a report of the incident. 

At 7:48 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and Riverview Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speeding.

March 29

At 10:08 a.m., officers responded to Green River High School at 1615 Hitching Post Drive for a report of a bus light violation. Officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle; gathered information; issued the driver, Konnor Buhlmann, of Green River, a citation for alleged meeting or passing a stopped school bus; and completed a report of the incident. 

At 4:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in an altercation, gathered information, separated the parties, and completed a report of the incident. 

At 5:03 p.m., officers responded to GRPD for a citizen assist. Officers made contact with an individual who reported concerns for another individual. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.  

At 5:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers met with Probation and Parole agents and the individual. Officers confirmed the order and placed Echo Gines, of Rock Springs, under arrest. Officers transported Gines to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. 

March 30 

At 2:34 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and Nolan Street and issued the driver Jennifer Rosene, of Green River, a citation for alleged speeding. 

At 10:34 a.m., officers responded to the Bus Barn at 200 Monroe Avenue for a report of a bus light violation. Officers met with staff and gathered information. Officers located and met with the driver of the vehicle, issued a written warning, and completed a report of the incident. 

At 2:29 p.m., officers responded to Sunset Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers met with an individual who reported a loaner vehicle had not been returned and they wanted to report it stolen. Through the investigation, the vehicle was believed to have been located and was to be returned. Officers made contact with the subject suspected of having the vehicle but were unable to confirm the location or who was in possession. At this time the vehicle has not been recovered. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident, which is still under investigation. 

At 3:07 p.m., officers responded to N 5th E Street for a report of a burglary. Officers met with an individual who reported their 5th wheel trailer had been broken into. No items were reported missing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. 

March 31

At 11:56 a.m., officers responded to the Probation and Parole office at 140 Commerce Drive for a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers met with agents and the individual, confirmed the order, and placed Nichole Bryson, of Green River, under arrest. Officers transported Bryson to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. 

At 4:52 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Wilkes Drive for a report of a subject removal. Officers met with several individuals involved in a verbal altercation and gathered information. Both parties requested the other be removed from the property but ultimately agreed to stay. Officers offered assistance and completed a report of the incident.
