Indoor Track competes at BYU High School Indoor Invitational

The Green River High School Indoor Track teams traveled South to Provo, Utah this past Friday to participate with a limited number of competitors in just the two mile and a couple of field events along with a huge field of 95 other high schools from throughout the region.

At the meet, both the boys and the girls competed in an event typically not part of meets in Wyoming — the weight throw. Amanda Davis finished third in a small field of competitors and her brother Dillon took second place just five inches out of first place.

Head Coach Dan Hansen felt that the kids ran well in the two mile and that “Autumn Casey had a solid day for the girls in the pole vault.”

Hansen went on to note that their meet this week will be another large regional meet at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with Field Events scheduled for Friday afternoon and running events on Saturday with more athletes participating in this event.
