Wolves take 2nd at Lander Pre-Christmas Invite

The Green River Wolves Swimming and Diving team traveled to Lander for a meet on Tuesday, December 20. They continue to improve and brought home a second place finish out of four teams.

Brady Young is a powerful swimmer in his individual competitive races and placed first in the 200 and 500 Yard Freestyle. If he keeps improving his times, it will be exciting to see how he performs at state this year.

Braxton Cordova has nailed his dives and has shown to be the top diver for Green River, placing first in the One-Meter Diving event. Finishing in second place was River Kirts, just slightly over eight points behind Cordova. In the past, Green River has been behind other state teams, lacking divers, but they have experienced divers this year that will benefit their placement at state.

With the relay teams continuing to practice and compete together they are going to have a solid team of swimmers this year.

The Wolves are competing in the Laramie Invite today and tomorrow.
