Green River Police Department reports for Dec. 16
At 11:24 a.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle was stopped on the side of the roadway facing south on the corner of N 3 West Street and W Flaming Gorge Way. The vehicle slid on the downward grade of the road and struck a stop sign and a cement pole. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 17
At 1:38 p.m., officers responded with EMS for an agency assist for an unconscious individual. Life saving measures were initiated and the individual was transported. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 4:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal domestic and gathered information. The parties were separated and officers completed a report of the incident.
At 7:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to 41 E Railroad Ave (Ponderosa Bar) for a report of a bar fight. Officers met with several individuals, two of which were involved in an altercation. At the request of the bartender the individuals were asked to leave. One of the individuals refused to leave. Subsequently, officers issued a citation and placed Alfonso David Perez, of Green River, under arrest for alleged disorderly conduct. Officers transported Perez to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 11:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle. Officers located a piece of a vehicle’s side mirror and were able to locate the suspect vehicle and met with the driver. It was reported one vehicle was negotiating the curve of Wilson Street traveling north when the vehicle slid and struck the other vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied on the east side of the roadway. Officers issued the driver of the vehicle, Alicia Harrision, 19, of Green River, a citation for alleged hit and run, and completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 18
At 12:05 a.m., officers responded to Riverview Drive for a report of a noise disturbance. Officers met with two individuals who advised they had been rough-housing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 3:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle was negotiating a curve traveling westbound on N River Bend, and due to slick road conditions the vehicle slid off of the roadway and crashed into a fence. Officers gathered information, issued the driver, a juvenile, 16, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed too fast for conditions, and completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 19
At 6:25 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle crash. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had lost control of their vehicle on the slick roads and crashed into a ditch and were unable to move the vehicle. A tow truck responded to the scene and removed the vehicle. Officers issued the driver, Dakota Guymon, 20, of Green River, a citation for alleged compulsory auto insurance violation. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 2:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny. Officers met with the reporting party who advised an individual had taken money out of their CashApp account. Officers then contacted the suspect who advised they had not taken money and it was a glitch with the CashApp system. Officers completed a report of the incident. This case is still under investigation.
At 7:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The reporting party advised they had witnessed a male and female fighting. The suspects had departed the location prior to officer arrival. Officers later located the individuals who advised they had been arguing but that everything was okay at that time and they did not need any assistance from officers. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 20
At 11:52 a.m., officers responded to the area of Nolan and Andrews Street for a report of a collision. It was reported a vehicle struck a fence. Officers met with the driver, a juvenile, age 16, of Green River, and issued a citation for alleged inattentive driving with a crash.
At 6:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers met with an individual who stated they had received a harassing text message from an ex. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 21
At 5:57 a.m., officers responded to the area of E Railroad Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival at the parking lot, on the south side of Railroad Avenue, officers observed a female laying on the ground. Officers requested EMS and met with several individuals and learned of a physical altercation that had taken place. EMS arrived and evaluated the female individual that had been involved in the altercation. No transports were made. Officers subsequently placed Ricardo Martinez, 24, of Texas, under arrest for alleged domestic battery, transported Martinez to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident.
At 11:54 a.m., officers responded to the GRPD for a report of an individual wanting to report a physical disturbance. Officers met with an individual who reported a domestic assault. EMS was called to evaluate the individual. The male half arrived on scene and officers met with the individual and gathered information. Officers placed Derek Aragon, 37, of Green River, under arrest for alleged domestic battery, transported Aragon to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident.
At 6:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud. Officers met with an individual who reported being scammed on Facebook after their account was hacked. In trying to fix the situation they were instructed to download an app called AnyDesk. After doing so a large charge went through their financial institution. Requests were made to download the Zelle app and enter codes which ended up in additional financial transfers. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. Monetary losses are being disputed.
At 8:14 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of S 5th East and E 4th South for a report of a single-vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle was traveling west on E 4th South. As the vehicle approached the intersection of S 5th East, another vehicle failed to yield at the yield sign. The first vehicle swerved to avoid the vehicle and went off of the roadway and the front potion of the vehicle struck the rock wall on E 4th South. EMS arrived on scene and evaluated the driver. No transports were made. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
