Green River Police Department reports for Nov. 14
At 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on Jensen Street. Officers met with an individual who reported money was fraudulently taken from a visa card they had purchased. The individual purchased the card and when trying to activate it learned someone used the card number to make a purchase. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 12:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual falling out of their car next to the fuel pump and slumped over at the Loaf ‘N Jug on Uinta Drive. Officers arrived and found the individual unconscious, they assisted the individual and called EMS to evaluate. The individual refused transport and officers completed a report of the incident.
At 4:43 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on Greasewood Street. Officers met with an individual who reported being scammed. It was reported the individual was hired for a company, then asked to send money orders with a check they had received from the company. They were later advised the check was fraudulent, and monetary losses were reported. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 5:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual that was bitten by their dog on Arizona Street. Officers met with the individual who reported they were playing with the dog and accidentally got bit. Officers gathered information, verified the dog was current on its Rabies vaccination, and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of a citizen assist on Schultz Street. Officers met with an individual who requested a civil standby. Officers conducted a civil standby and completed a report of the incident.
Nov. 15
At 1:17 a.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 6:17 a.m., officers responded with GRFD for a report of a small fire in a yard of a residence on Logan Street. Officers met with the homeowner who reported they had dumped ashes on yard waste which caused a small fire that they were able to extinguish. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at Lincoln Circle. Officers met with an individual who requested to have an individual issued a trespass notice for their property. Officers met with the individual, issued the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.
At 4:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals who advised the argument remained verbal in nature and nothing physical had taken place. The parties involved were separated for the night. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
Nov. 16
At 9:35 a.m., officers responded to a report of a student in possession of a tobacco vaping device at Expedition Academy High School. Officers gathered information and subsequently issued a citation to a juvenile, age 15, of Green River, for alleged possession of a tobacco product by a minor, then completed a report of the incident.
At 10:51 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Uinta Drive and Powell Street for a traffic light violation. Officers met with the driver and detected the odor of marijuana. Officers located suspected marijuana and subsequently placed the driver, Gary Beddoes, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DWUI - incapable of safely driving - controlled substance, possession of CDS - plant form - less than 3 oz, and traffic control devices - red light. Officers transported Beddoes to the Sweetwater County Detention center and competed a report of the incident.
At 12:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of a scam on E 3rd N Street. Officers met with an individual who reported they had a pop up appear on their screen warning them of a major computer malfunction and to call the support number. The individual called and allowed remote access to their computer and claimed to have fixed the problem and charges for the service. They were contacted an additional time from an individual claiming to be from the same company and needed to do more work and requested more funds. Monetary losses were reported. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a scam on Virginia Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported that they had sent EBAY gift cards to a person for a product refund but had not received those funds or the original cost of the item funds. Offices gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 3:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at West Railroad Avenue and N 3rd W Street for a registration violation and issued the driver, Marriah Stewart, of Green River, a citation for alleged seat belt: driver violation.
At 8:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance and learned one of the individuals had an active warrant. Once on scene, officers heard yelling and met with the individual causing the disturbance and property destruction. Officers called EMS to the scene to evaluate the individual. Officers subsequently placed the individual under arrest and the individual was transported by ambulance for further evaluation. Officers issued Kieran Gladue, of Green River, a citation for alleged interference with a peace officer, second offense. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
Nov. 17
At 2:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run on West Teton Boulevard. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle, which had been parked and unoccupied. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 3:16 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at West Flaming Gorge Way and N 5th W Street and issued the driver, Yvonne Camacho, of Green River, a citation for alleged seat belt: driver violation.
At 5:12 p.m., officers responded to a report of found property at China Garden. Officers collected a found driver’s license and contacted the owner. The item was held for safekeeping and officers completed a report of the incident.
At 11:31 p.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that was committing multiple traffic violations at Andrews Street and Clark Street. The driver would not pull over. After continuing for several blocks, the vehicle eventually pulled up to a residence. Officers attempted to communicate with and detain the subject, but the subject ignored commands and entered into the residence. The subject then threatened to shoot officers from inside the residence. SWAT officers arrived on scene and were able to contact the individual. Matthew Tebedo, of Green River, was placed under arrest for alleged interference with peace officer, eluding a police officer and possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
