Green River Police Department reports for Oct. 17
At 9:31 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Upland Way and Commerce Drive and issued the driver, Chandlerr Lester, of Green River, a citation for alleged expired temporary license permit/improper registration.
At 5:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing on East Flaming Gorge Way. The suspect had left the property prior to law enforcement arrival but was later located at The Embassy. Officers met with the individual, advised about the current trespass order and issued a citation for alleged trespassing to Chance Salcedo, of Green River. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
Oct. 18
At 6:59 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on Hutton Street. Officers met with an individual who reported a subject standing near their driveway asking for money. Officers checked for any individuals who may have still been in the area, but no one was located. Officers were again called back for a suspicious person and eventually located an individual matching the description. Officers met with the individual, gathered information, and ascertained the individual had an active warrant out of Fremont County. The individual was placed under arrest per the active warrant and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, then officers completed a report of the incident.
At 7:53 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at River View Drive and Knotty Pine Street for a brake light violation. Officers met with the driver and passenger, issued the driver, Adrian Ybanez, of Green River, a citation for alleged failure to provide proof of liability insurance, and placed the passenger, Harold Gladue, of Green River, under arrest per an active warrant out of Fremont County. Officers transported Gladue to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at Green River High School and are investigating property damage in one of the bathrooms. Report to follow.
At 11:51 a.m., officers, EMS, and the Coroner responded to a report of an unattended death. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident, which is still under investigation. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 3:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Green River High School. It was reported one vehicle began to back out of their parking space and a second vehicle began backing out of their parking space, and the vehicles’ rear bumpers collided. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 4:05 p.m., officers met with an individual over concerns about neighborhood kids playing in the street on Indian Hills Drive. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
Oct. 19
At 7:54 a.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on West Flaming Gorge Way. The reporting party advised they had seen a street sign that was bent and looked like it had been hit. Officers located the vehicle that had hit the sign and issued the driver, Ebenezer Owolabi, 39, of Spring, Texas, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with crash. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 8:47 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Wilson Street for no visible registration. Officers cited and arrested the driver, Jenifer Fletcher, 39, of Green River for alleged failure to maintain liability coverage, driving while license suspended, and no valid vehicle registration. Officers transported Fletcher to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 1:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny at the horse corrals. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had a license plate stolen off of a trailer. Officers were unable to locate a suspect at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 2:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual making threatening comments. The reporting party asked the individual to leave, but they later returned. Officers located the individual and issued them a trespass warning for the location. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 4:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at the Town Bar and Grill. Officers met with the reporting party who advised that an individual who had previously been trespassed had come into the bar. Officers located the individual who was identified as Chance Salcedo, 34, of Green River, a citation for alleged trespass - refuse to leave when asked. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Oct. 20
At 11:11 a.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at Club 86. The reporting person advised there was an individual inside the bar who needed to be removed from the premises and trespassed. Officers located the individual and issued them a trespass warning. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 8:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Schultz Street. While on scene officers made contact with an individual with an active warrant. Officers confirmed the warrant and placed Albert Dewailly, 63, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Dewailly to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of a crash on Evans Street. A vehicle was driving westbound when they veered off the road onto the sidewalk and struck a parked vehicle. Officers observed the damage to both vehicles and issued the driver of the first vehicle, Diane Janicki, 60, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with crash. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 9:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on Evans Street. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their house had been egged. Officers observed the egg on the residence and searched the area for a suspect. No suspects were located at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 10:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of a missing vehicle on N 1st E Street. Officers met with the reporting party and learned that it was possible another person living at the residence had taken the vehicle. Officers searched the area for the vehicle and later in the day the reporting party advised that they had found the vehicle and driven it home. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Oct. 21
At 12:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at Club 86. The reporting person advised there was an individual inside the bar who needed to be removed from the premises and trespassed. Officers located the individual and issued them a trespass warning. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 8:46 a.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic complaint on Wilson Street. Officers met with an individual who reported another individual that was driving without a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration or vehicle insurance. Officers gathered information and completed a report.
