Jeanette "Jeannie" Collier

Jeanette “Jeannie” Collier, 83, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at her son’s home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was a longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming and former resident of Vernal, Utah. Mrs. Collier died following a lengthy illness.

She was born March 14, 1939 in Rock Springs, Wyoming; the daughter of Walter Keywatz and Melba Belman.

Mrs. Collier attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

She married Wayne Collier in 1999 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2007.

Mrs. Collier worked for Ted’s Supper Club for 39 years having retired in 1999 as a Waitress. Her dedication to her work made her one of the best in Rock Springs.

She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

Mrs. Collier enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; hunting; fishing; photography; and her animals. She loved cooking for family and friends. Her dedication to her work.

Survivors include her son Darell “Porky” Jones and wife Jo Lynn of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two step-sons, Terry Collier and wife Gail of Dutch John, Utah; Coy Collier of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two sisters, Eunice Farrell of Huntsville, Alabama; Garret Kay Nichols of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one sister-in-law, Violet Dee Keywatz of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two grandchildren, Shayla Jones; Tana Jean Bailey and husband Shane; four great-grandchildren, Kolby Jones; Carson Torgerson; Tyler Remey; Wyatt Faunce; one great-great-granddaughter, Ridley Jones; several nieces and nephews, Debbie Wisniewski, Mike Farrell and wife Trish; Paula Kay Bryant and husband Butch; Tammi Sumsion and husband Doug; Tina Julius and husband Todd; Tony Doney and husband Craig.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wayne Collier, one brother, Bert “Sonny” Keywatz.

The family respectfully requests that you recognize what a wonderful group Hospice of Sweetwater County has been for the Collier Family for the past 12 years.

Cremation will take place; no services will be conducted at her request.
