Green River dominates swim meet

The Lady Wolves swim team had a very exciting weekend of competition. The ladies came out on top and dominated the Green River Invite which took place Friday and Saturday at the Aquatic Center in Green River.

Many swimmers claimed first place finishes in their races. Tanith Smith's speed claimed her first place in the 200 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Freestyle. Smith holds the pool record and the school record from 2021 at a 1:56.66 in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Smith also holds the school record in the 50 Yard Freestyle at a 53.92 from 2021. Tavia Arnell's powerful strokes worked in her favor and she came in first in the 100 Yard Butterfly and the 100 Yard Backstroke. Courtney Clark made an amazing finish in the 500 Yard Freestyle taking home another first place finish for Green River.

The relay teams worked together as a strong group taking home a first place in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay and second place in the 200 Yard Medley and the 400 Yard Freestyle.

The swimmers will be traveling to Lander to compete on Friday and Powell on Saturday.
