Green River Police Department reports for Aug. 15
At 8:07 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Cedar Street and Elm Street. It was reported one vehicle was traveling northeast on Cedar Street. A second vehicle was parked and unoccupied on the east side of the roadway. The first vehicle struck the rear of the second vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the information.
At 10:57 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the order, and placed Thomas Thoren, under arrest. Officers transported Thoren to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 4:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of concern for a neighbor on Bridger Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported water leaking through the upstairs floor. Officers made contact at the residence and determined there was a running toilet. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of a physical fight in progress on Crossbow Drive. Officers met with an individual who was involved in the altercation after the other party had already left. Officers gathered information, attempted to contact the other individual, and completed a report of the incident.
Aug. 16
At 7:06 a.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on Mississippi Street. Officers met with the reporting person and the owner of the dogs, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of property destruction at Stratton Myers Park. Officers met with the president of the BMX club who reported an individual had entered the track unauthorized and rode their bike on the track causing some damages. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of a citizen assist on Bridger Drive. Officers met with individuals over civil matters, offered assistance, and completed a report of the incident.
Aug. 17
At 12:50 a.m., officers responded to an agency assist for an individual who was unconscious and not breathing on North 3rd West Street. Officers began life saving measures on the individual until EMS personnel arrived. EMS pronounced the individual deceased and the individual was transported by the coroner. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. No suspicious circumstances are suspected.
At 12:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of a protection order violation reported at the GRPD lobby. Officers met with an individual who reported the violation for documentation purposes only. At the request of the individual, officers did not contact the other party. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers met with agents and the individual, confirmed the order, and placed Tiffany Beatty, of Rock Springs, under arrest per the order. Officers transported Beatty to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 3:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on Juniper Street. It was reported a delivery truck backed into a mailbox, cracking the wooden post.
At 4:28 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers met with agents and the individual, confirmed the order, and placed Tiffany Herren, of Green River, under arrest per the order. Officers transported Herren to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
Aug. 18
At 10:48 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual harassing and calling city employees names at Evers Park. Officers met with the suspect who advised he would not make contact with the city workers anymore. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 12:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of a found bicycle that had been in the same location for approximately two weeks at the School District Central Administration Building. Officers collected the bicycle for safekeeping and completed a report of the incident.
At 3 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual needing to be trespassed from a residence on East 2nd North Street. Officers met with the reporting party and gathered their statement. Officers attempted to locate the individual needing to be trespassed but were unable to locate them at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 7:51 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers made contact with the individual and placed Pamela Collings, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Collings to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:32 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had sold the vehicle to someone and they had not been paid for it. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect but were unable to at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 10:39 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault between two adults. Officers met with both individuals and the parties were separated for the evening. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 10:52 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision at East Teton Boulevard and Monroe Avenue. Officers observed a vehicle that had crashed into a fence causing damage to the fence as well as a structure on the opposite side of the fence. Officers were able to locate the suspect who had left the scene on foot after the crash. Officers placed Andy Anson, of Green River, under arrest for alleged DWUI of alcohol incapable of safely driving, hit and run - unattended property, driving on sidewalks, improper lane usage, and careless driving. Officers transported Anson to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
Aug. 19
At 11:27 a.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at Anytime Fitness. Officers met with the owner who requested to have an individual issued a trespass warning for the property. Officers met with the individual, issued the trespass warning, and ascertained the individual had an active warrant. Officers confirmed the warrant and placed Hector Carrasco, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Carrasco to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 11:55 a.m., officers observed a parking violation on West Teton Boulevard. Officers attempted to locate the owner, tagged the trailer for the parking violation, and completed a report of the incident.
At 7:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. It was reported a motorcycle was traveling east on East 2nd South Street. The driver lost control of the bike, causing the bike to wheelie, and the driver was thrown from the bike. Officers gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. No transports were made.
At 7:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Hitching Post Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported a theft of a bicycle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
