Marilyn L. Thomas

Marilyn L. Thomas, 69, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home in Green River, Wyoming. She was a resident of Green River for 53 years and former resident of Colorado and New Mexico.

She was born December 27, 1952 in Roswell, New Mexico; the daughter of William Harold Maines and Cenellia E. Rawdon.

Mrs. Thomas attended schools in Green River, Wyoming.

She married Michael R. Thomas on August 8, 1969 in Green River, Wyoming. He preceded her in death June 13, 1991.

Mrs. Thomas worked for Kmart for 12 years as an Assistant Manager until ill health forced her retirement in 2012. She previously worked for Pamida.

She enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren; crocheting; sewing; gardening; bowling and her furry pets Mugsey and Baby.

Mrs. Thomas loved collecting wind chimes and helping others.

Survivors include one son, Archie H. Thomas and wife Yvette of Santa Clara, New Mexico; one daughter, Susan K. Crofutt and husband Thomas of Green River, Wyoming; three brothers-in-law, Glenn Thomas and wife

Rita of Marbleton, Wyoming; Don Thomas and wife JoAnn of Parachute, Colorado; Burl Thomas and wife Nancy of Lake Wells, Florida; two sisters, Melanie Blowers and husband John of Arlington Washington; Linda Hott and husband Shane Hott of Lyman, Wyoming; nine grandchildren, Brett Crofutt; Casey Crofutt; Jaydan Thomas; Alex Thomas; Danny Thomas; Veronica Gardea; Ashton Koenig; Jeremy Harmon; Jordan Harmon; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael "Reese" Thomas, parents, William "Harold" and Canillia "Corny" Maines, one brother, William "Buddy" Maines; father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Leona Thomas; one nephew, Chuck Blowers.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Union Congregational Church, 350 Mansface, Green River, Wyoming. Internment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
