LaRae Wood Rothe

LaRae Wood Rothe, 85, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was a resident of Rock Springs for one year and four months and former 47 year resident in Tuscon, Arizona.

She was born on October 10, 1936 in Tremonton, Utah; the daughter of Clyde Quincy Wood and Beth Rhodes.

Mrs. Rothe attended schools in Cheyenne, Wyoming and was a 1954 graduate of Cheyenne High School.

She married Bobbie Joe Rothe August 12, 1956 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Mrs. Rothe worked for Kitt Peak National Observatory for 20 years having retired in September 1998 as a Print Shop Manager

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

Mrs. Rothe was a member of the Epsilan Sigma Alpha.

She was the President of Denver Dental Assistants Associateion.

Mrs. Rothe loved spending time with family and was an avid bowler, golfer and gambler.

Survivors include her husband, Bobbie Joe Rothe of Rock Springs, Wyoming, one brother, Alan Wood and wife Julie of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one sister, Sandy Seppie and husband John of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one brother-in-law, Richard Rothe of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister-in-law, Terry Wood of Green River, Wyoming; six nieces and six nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Beth Wood; one brother, Hal Wood; father and mother-in-law, Earl and Velsie Rothe; maternal and paternal grandparents; one nephew, Joe Seppie; numerous aunts; uncles and cousins.

Cremation will take place; no services will be conducted at her request.
