Green River Police Department reports for July 11
At 5:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on Wilderness Trail. Officers met with an individual who reported being contacted by a scammer through Messenger posing as a friend and reported monetary losses. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Justin Dana, of Green River, under arrest. Officers transported Dana to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Sioux Circle. Officers met with an individual, advised of the noise complaint, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Wilkes Drive. Officers met with the occupants of the residence and advised of the noise complaint. Officers gathered information, issued a verbal warning for disturbing the peace, and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:27 a.m., officers responded to a report of a parking problem on Sunset Street. Officers observed a camper parked in violation of City ordinance, contacted the owner, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:57 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on North 1st West Street. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of a parking space and backed into a second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
July 15
At 9:33 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats or harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported multiple people are threatening them. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 9:46 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run on North 7th West Street. It was reported a utility pole was found damaged. It appeared the suspect vehicle was traveling north on North 7 West when it drifted to the left side of the road and up onto the curb, then hit a wire that was embedded into the concrete attached to a utility pole, which then broke the pole off, causing it to fall into a yard. Officers notified All West Communication about the down pole, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 12:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Kari Huntington, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Huntington to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 6:25 p.m., officers while on routine property checks met with an individual with an active warrant on East Flaming Gorge Way. Officers confirmed the warrant and placed Matthew Mazurkiewicz, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers located drug paraphernalia and issued Mazurkiewicz a citation for alleged possession of paraphernalia. Officers transported Mazurkiewicz to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:35 p.m., officers on patrol heard a loud grinding noise and a loud engine revving and observed a vehicle speeding away from the parking lot between Bomgaar’s and Smith’s. As officers attempted to identify the vehicle they observed a large ten-foot Bunk feeder that had been run over and dragged northwest into the middle of the parking lanes. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle and notified the general manager of Bombaar’s. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
July 16
At 12:32 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West Teton Boulevard and Monroe Avenue and issued the driver, Joshua Pierce, of Green River, a citation for alleged speeding.
At 2:06 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with an individual who was involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
