Green River Police Department reports for May 2
At 1:09 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at an Upland Way unit. Officers attempted to make contact at the residence, and completed a report of the incident.
May 3
At 4:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of drug use. Officers arrived on scene and met with an individual who reported a verbal domestic. Officers did not observe any drug paraphernalia, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
May 4
At 1:07 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver Joshua Pierce, of Green River, citations for alleged speeding and turn signals required violation.
At 11:03 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Teton Boulevard and Monroe Avenue and the driver was found to be driving on a suspended Utah driver’s license. Officers subsequently placed Daniel Schumacher, of Green River, under arrest and issued a citation for alleged DWUS. Schumacher was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and officers completed a report of the incident.
At 9:32 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on Shoshone Avenue. Officers located the barking dogs and made contact with an owner. The owner was advised of the complaint, issued a verbal warning, and officers completed a report of the incident.
May 6
At 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on Iowa Avenue. Officers met with an individual who reported they noticed the fuel door to their vehicle was not able to be opened, and the vehicle sounded strange and was not driving normally. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order on Commerce Drive. Officers met with the probation agent and the individual, confirmed the order, and placed Patricia Lewis, of Green River, under arrest per the active arrest order. Officers transported Lewis to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 1:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 5:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats or harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported concerns about a neighbor. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 8:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on Idaho Street. Officers met with individuals concerning damage that was found to a vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:59 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog on Gannett Circle. Officers located the residence and met with the owner of the dogs. Officers advised of the complaint, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.
May 7
At 12:48 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision. It was reported that one vehicle was traveling east on East Flaming Gorge Way and attempted to pull over to the right side of the road way and park in front of a second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied. The passenger side of the first vehicle made contact with the driver’s side front bumper of the second vehicle. Officers met with the driver and owner of the second vehicle, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of suspected drugs being found on Uinta Drive. It was reported a small bag with a crystalline substance inside was found. The substance tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. Officers collected the suspected methamphetamine and completed a report of the incident.
At 4:23 p.m., officers responded with GRFD to a report of an unoccupied vehicle that was on fire at the Loaf N Jug on Uinta Drive. Officers observed active flames emitting from the interior passenger side and the passenger side window to be rolled down approximately three inches. Officers utilized their department issued fire extinguisher and extinguished the flame. GRFD advised officers that the fire most likely started from a butane torch that was left on inside the vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 7:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual removing items from a residence on Jensen Street. Officers met with the individual who claimed they had been hired to do work on a property and had begun removing items. It was discovered the individual had gone to the wrong residence. Officers confirmed all of the items were placed back inside of the residence, and confirmed with the owner of the residence where the work was supposed to be taking place that the individual in question was given permission. Officers completed a report of the incident.
May 8
At 1:06 a.m., officers responded to a report of a verbal domestic on Jensen Street. Officers met with individuals involved in a verbal confrontation and gathered information. The parties agreed to separate themselves at the residence, and officers completed a report of the incident.
At 2:46 a.m., officers completed a report of a loud party on West Teton Boulevard. Officers made contact at the residence, advised of the complaint, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.
At 7:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at McDonald’s. It was reported both vehicles were traveling east in the drive-through and were stopped when the first vehicle struck the back of the second vehicle. Officers met with both drivers, gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a violation of a court order on Saratoga Drive. Officers were contacted by phone by the reporting party who reported the violation, then met with the individual regarding the order, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
May 9
At 8:39 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hitching Post Drive and issued the driver Callie Raney, of Green River, a citation for alleged speeding.
At 12:09 p.m., officers responded to a report of a prior two-vehicle collision on Uinta Drive. It was reported a vehicle was stopped and waiting in a drive through line in front of a second vehicle, also waiting in line. As the first vehicle began to reverse to exit the waiting line, the rear of the first vehicle hit the front of the second vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 3:59 p.m., officers responded to a report of several pieces of trash flying out the back of a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection of E 4th S Street and Uinta Drive. Officers met with the driver who was found to have an active warrant out of Washington. SCSO K9 Unit arrived and performed a free air sniff. No contraband was located and the warrant was state-wide extradition only. Officers advised the driver, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
