Green River Police Department reports for April 4
At 6:03 p.m., officers responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision at Smith’s. It was reported one vehicle attempted to park between the second and third vehicles. The second vehicle was parked in a parking spot to the north and was facing with the front toward the driving lane. The third vehicle was parked to the south and had pulled into the parking spot, so the rear was toward the driving lane. The first vehicle attempted to park in an empty parking spot between the two vehicles, and in the process struck both vehicles as the driver attempted to maneuver back and forth into the parking spot to straighten out the vehicle. Officers gathered information and subsequently issued the driver of the first vehicle, a juvenile, age 16, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with a crash. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 6:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of a citizen assist. Officers met with an individual who reported they have been receiving harassing phone calls from a family member. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
April 5
At 11:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of stalking. Officers met with individuals who reported they feel they are being stalked by an individual. Officers met with the individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 7:15 p.m., officers responded with EMS and GRFD personnel to a report of smoke inside a residence on Aspen Street. The occupants of the home were evaluated by EMS and no transports were made. It was found that the electrical control box on the furnace located in the basement had begun to burn, however no active flames were present. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 11:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of individuals inside of a vehicle involved in a verbal domestic. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle after officers observed the vehicle cross over the center lane several times. Officers met with the individuals, who reported they had been involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. April 6
At 8:21 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats or harassment. Officers met with an individual who expressed concerns over threats previously made by an ex. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 12:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a scam on Arizona Street. Officers met with an individual who reported monetary losses after receiving a fraudulent call about a warrant. Officers gathered the information and completed a report of the incident.
At 3:39 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding in a school zone on Monroe Avenue. Officers met with the driver who was found to be driving with a suspended license. Subsequently officers issued the driver, David Sauter, of Minnesota, a citation for alleged driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 4:46 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling west on West Flaming Gorge Way and a second vehicle was traveling south on North 7 West Street, both approaching the intersection. The driver of the first vehicle reported they stopped at the stop sign, then started to proceed through the intersection when vehicle two entered the intersection and struck the driver’s side of the first vehicle. Injuries were reported and transports were made. Officers gathered information, issued a citation to the driver of the first vehicle, Joni Forcier, of Green River, for alleged stop sign violation, and completed a report of the incident.
April 7
At 8:11 a.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Uinta Drive. It was reported a tractor trailer hit a fire hydrant while backing up. Officers issued the driver, Matthew Rockwell, of Oklahoma, a citation for alleged improper backing and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:32 a.m., officers responded to a report of found property on Clark Street. Officers met with an individual who reported a Next bicycle that has been laying against a fence in the alley behind the street for about a year. Officers collected the bicycle for safekeeping and completed a report of the incident.
April 8
At 2:53 a.m., officers responded to a report of possible drug use at the Little Bear Motel. Officers observed two individuals, one of which was observed smoking a suspected controlled substance in plain view of the officers. Officers made contact with the individuals and observed what appeared to be drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana. Officers gathered information and subsequently issued citations to Pamela Nemetz, of Green River, for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia, use of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana less than 3 oz.; and a citation to Christopher Larson, of Green River, for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers collected the suspected paraphernalia and marijuana and completed a report of the incident.
At 7:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats or harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported feeling threatened by another individual. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 9:57 a.m., officers responded to a report of an emergency school safety drill at Lincoln Middle School. The drill was completed successfully.
