Green River Police Department reports for March 22
At 7:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious individual in the reporting party’s backyard on Kansas Street. Officers located the suspect and found that he had an active arrest and hold order. Officers issued Jinyi Isaiah Martinez, 24, of Green River, a citation for alleged paraphernalia possession with intent to use and placed him under arrest per the active arrest and hold order. Martinez was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and officers completed a report of the incident.
At 3:37 p.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. Officers met with the juvenile’s parents who stated the juvenile left on foot after a disagreement in the home. Officers searched the area for the juvenile but were unable to locate the individual at the time of the report. This case is active and under investigation. At 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances on Kansas Street. The reporting party advised they heard what sounded like someone running through the gravel in their yard. Officers checked the area and did not find anything that had been disturbed and they did not locate anyone in the area. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 9:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual receiving threatening text messages. Officers observed the messages and advised the reporting party to block the number. Officers attempted to speak with the suspect but they were unable to reach them. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
March 23
At 11:22 a.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a dog at large on Jefferson Street. Officers impounded the dog and issued the owner Thomas Webb, of Green River, a citation for alleged animal at large.
At 2:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order reported at Probation and Parole. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the order and placed Dara Pasch, of Rock Springs, under arrest. Officers transported Pasch to the county detention center and completed a report of the incident.
March 24
At 10:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Elk Valley Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle as stolen, but later located the vehicle and determined that the vehicle was not stolen. Officers completed a report of the incident.
March 25
At 9:37 a.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic complaint at the intersection of East Teton Boulevard and California Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported an incident involving another vehicle driving recklessly. Officers met with the other driver, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 11:38 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Uinta Drive and East 4th South Street on a vehicle and issued the driver, a juvenile, 17, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed.
At 12:13 p.m., officers responded to a reports of threats or harassment. Officers met with an individual who requested a trespass warning be issued to an individual harassing one of the employees. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspected individual, but the individual refused to talk to officers, so the warning was issued through the door. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 1:59 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Smith’s. It was reported one vehicle was reversing out of a parking space facing north and struck a second vehicle that was in a parking space facing east. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 4:45 p.m., officers observed two metal receiver hitch reducer sleeves in the roadway on Uinta Drive. Officers collected and booked in the property for safekeeping and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:43 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog on Greasewood Street. Officers arrived in the area and located the barking dog. Officers attempted to make contact at the residence, but were able to make contact by phone and advised the owner of the complaint. Officers completed a report of the incident and forwarded the report to Animal Control.
March 26
At 1:59 a.m., officers responded to a report of an agency assist with GRFD for a structure fire on Wilkes Drive. It was reported an electric bike battery that had been plugged into an outlet had ignited. The homeowners were able to get the battery outside and extinguish the flames. Officers completed a report of the incident. No injures were reported.
At 3:16 a.m., officers responded a report of teenagers acting suspicious in a neighbors yard at Rhode Island Place. Officers responded and met with the group of individuals and could smell an odor of an alcoholic-based beverage coming from the group. Officers subsequently issued citations for alleged underage consumption to three individuals, ages 16, 18 and 19, of Green River, and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:36 a.m., officers responded to a report of an auto burglary on Keith Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported that someone had entered their vehicle and took a Leather-man multi tool. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:52 p.m., officers responded to a report of suspicious activity. Officers met with an individual who reported suspected drug activity going on near their residence. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 5:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage at the Green River High School. Officers met with an individual who reported that their vehicle had been damaged while in the parking lot. It was reported a vehicle was parked in the parking lot next to the vehicle that was damaged, and the vehicle was damaged by a door on the vehicle next to it. Officers met with both owners, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at Green River High School. Officers met with an individual who reported their tires had been slashed while the vehicle had been parked in the GRHS parking lot. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on Monroe Avenue. Officers located the barking dogs, attempted to make contact with the owner, and posted a notice on the door. Officers were later contacted by the owner, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.
March 27
At 12:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on Clark Street. Officers located the barking dog, attempted to make contact at the residence, posted a notice, and forwarded the complaint to Animal Control. Animal Control Officers later made contact with the owner and advised of the complaint. Officers issued a warning for no shelter and completed a report of the incident.
At 12:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats. Officers met with individuals who reported that an individual was threatening and harassing them. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 6:32 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Windriver Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported solar lights and yard decorations missing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
March 28
At 2:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order reported at the probation and parole office. Officers met with probation agents and the individual, confirmed the order, and placed Shawnee May, of Green River, under arrest. Officers transported May to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on Wilkes Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported they received a suspicious email regarding an order in their name being delivered to another address. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. No monetary losses were reported.
