Green River Police Department reports for March 1

At 7:16 a.m., officers responded to a report of barking dogs at Trona Drive and Hillcrest Way. Officers made contact at the residence, advised of the complaint, and issued a verbal warning. Officers completed a report of the incident and forwarded to Animal Control.

At 2:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Cumorah Way. Officers met with individuals who reported a verbal argument with another individual. Officers attempted to make contact with the other involved party and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with an individual who reported property damage caused by a known individual. Officers attempted to make contact with the individual and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 11:28 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Paul Liberatore, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Libertore and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

March 2

At 1:21 a.m., officers responded to a report of an agency assist on Keith Drive. Officers assisted EMS personnel for an unattended death. Officers completed a report of the incident. No suspicious circumstances were suspected.

At 8:37 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unattended death. Officers assisted EMS personnel and the coroner and completed a report of the incident. No suspicious circumstances were suspected. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 2:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile runaway. Officers met with parents or guardians and entered the juvenile into NCIC. Officers were later notified the juvenile had returned home. Officers met with the juvenile and a parent or guardian and completed a report of the incident. March 3

At 1:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud at Wyochem Federal Credit Union. Officers met with an individual who reported fraudulent charges to their bank card. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual suspected of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage on Hitching Post Drive. Officers met with the individual and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. Subsequently officers issued Joseph James, of Green River, a citation for alleged public intoxication. James was escorted from the property and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 7:44 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Uinta Drive for expired registration. Officers met with the driver and ascertained the individual was underage and in possession of a tobacco product. Officers issued a citation to Brent Harper, of Green River, for alleged possession or use of nicotine by person under the age of 21 and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:42 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Hitching Post Drive and Trail Drive for improper use of high beams. Officers met with the driver and observed possible signs of impairment. Officers subsequently placed Daryl Meeks, of Green River, under arrest, transported Meeks to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident.

March 4

At 12:05 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Hutton Street and Knotty Pine Street for speeding. Officers met with the driver and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. Officers ascertained the driver had an active warrant out of Campbell County and subsequently placed the driver, Anthony Jensen, of Rock Springs, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DUI incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle in violation, open container, and no valid drivers license. Officers transported Jensen to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:35 p.m., officers responded to the GRPD lobby to collect medications for disposal. Officers collected the medications, booked them in for destruction, and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) at the intersection of Uinta Drive and East Flaming Gorge Way. Upon arrival in the area officers located the vehicle unoccupied but were able to identify the owner. Officers then located the owner on foot and met with the individual. Officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath, and subsequently issued Rickie Maynard, of Green River, a citation for alleged public intoxication. Officers completed a report of the incident.

March 5

At 1:36 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision at the intersection of North 1st West Street and West Flaming Gorge Way. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle had been hit. Officers collected the information and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:03 a.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on Mississippi Street. Officers met with the complainant and the owner of the dogs, advised of the situation, and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of lost property at the Green River Recreation Center. Officers met with an individual who reported their phone missing. Officers attempted to located the missing or stolen device and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:46 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Uinta Drive and Astle Avenue. It was reported the vehicle was traveling south on North 4th West Street negotiating the curve in the road under the overpass when the vehicle lost control and struck a light pole. Officers issued the driver Murray Ingram, of Green River, a citation for alleged no insurance and completed a report of the incident.

March 6

At 1:46 a.m., officers observed a vehicle stopped on the side of the road by the underpass. The vehicle was unoccupied but officers were able to contact the driver. It was reported the vehicle had mechanical issues and the driver had left the vehicle there until they could go back for it. Officers ascertained the driver had a suspended driver’s license and an active warrant. Officers issued citations to Travis Esquibel, of Green River, for alleged obstruction of streets or sidewalks and driving while under suspension, second or subsequent offense, and placed Travis under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Esquibel to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision at the underpass. It was reported the vehicle was traveling south on West 2nd South Street negotiating the curve under the underpass when the vehicle lost control and struck the brick retaining wall. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 5:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision at the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle that had been parked and unoccupied. Officers completed a report of the incident.

March 7

At 1:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at Firehole Place. Officers met with an individual who requested to have another individual issued a trespass warning for their property. Officers were unable to make contact with the individual and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of a verbal domestic. Officers met with the individuals involved, the parties separated, and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on Pheasant Drive. It was reported an individual was being threatened by an unknown individual who requested money to be sent. Officers completed a report of the incident. No monetary losses were reported.
