Brandi Lee Finch

Brandi Lee Finch, 28, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at her home in Reno, Nevada surrounded by her family after a seven-year battle with cancer. She was a resident of Reno for the last three years and former resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming.

She was born January 12, 1994 in Rock Springs; the daughter of Robert Finch and Holly Tracy.

Brandi attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 2012 graduate of Rock Springs High School. She also earned an Associates of Science Degree from Western Wyoming Community College in 2015. Brandi was studying Psychological Sciences at the University of Nevada in Reno.

She had many jobs during her lifetime and was currently employed at Silver State Counseling and Therapy as an Office Manager.

Her son, Bentley, was born in 2015, and she absolutely loved being his mommy.

Despite having cancer for all of her 20s she remained positive and never stopped fighting to cure her cancer. She was an amazing, courageous, and beautiful mother, daughter, granddaughter and friend. Anyone who knew her, knew she was a warrior and fought tirelessly each day. Her enduring love will live on through all of us.

Brandi enjoyed reading, writing poetry, drawing, arts and crafts, being outdoors, attending concerts, listening to music and was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. She loved all animals, especially her cats, dogs and owls. Brandi loved reading Stephen King books, watching horror movies; serial killer documentaries and Harry Potter Series. She was very passionate about the environment, saving the bees and Humane Societies.

Survivors include her father, Robert Finch and wife Jackie of Green River, Wyoming; mother, Holly Finch of Reno, Nevada; one son, Bentley Finch of Reno; one sister, Felicia Finch of Green River; two brothers, James Byrd of Green River; Chris Byrd of Green River; paternal grandfather, Norman Finch of Green River; maternal grandparents, Bob Tracy and wife Janice of Reno; grandparents, Larry Curry and wife Maxine of Green River; best friends, Samantha Newman; Ambar DeLeon; many good friends whom she loved dearly; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and one niece.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Dorothy Finch and one sister, Kari Ann Finch.

Following Cremation, a Celebration of Life will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Fraternal Order of Eagles #2350, 88 N 2nd East Street, Green River, Wyoming. A Private Family inurnment will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
