William Terrance Waite

William Terrance Waite, 79, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Sage View Care Center in Rock Springs, Wyoming following a brief illness. He was a resident of Rock Springs for the last year and former resident of Evanston, Wyoming.

Mr. Waite was born May 27, 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming; the son of Thomas William Waite and Catherine F. Fife.

He attended schools in Evanston and was a 1960 graduate of Evanston High School.

Mr. Waite married Wendy Cheryl Ellingford in August 10, 1990 in Evanston, and she preceded him in death September 30, 2018 in Evanston.

William served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

He worked for Black Butte Coal for fifteen years until his retirement in 1987 as a Maintenance Supervisor

Mr. Waite was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and B.P.O.E, Elks Lodge #2588.

He enjoyed, camping; rock collecting; wood working and traveling.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Waite and wife Corie; Tim Waite and wife Tracy; Scott Todd and wife Brenda; Clint Todd and wife Salina; four daughters, Terrie Lynn Pond; Cindy L. Thuirer and husband Mike; Mindy House and husband Shad; Wendy Fletcher and husband John; two brothers-in-law, Marvin Wagstaff; John Willoughby; twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; as well as several cousins; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Waite was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Waite; two sisters, Patricia Willoughby and Kathy Wagstaff.

Following Cremation, no services will be conducted at his request.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Joseph Hendrick and Family for their loving care and friendship to William T. Waite during his time in Saint George, Utah.
