Green River Police Department reports for Jan. 11

At 7:26 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Indian Hills Drive. Officers met with the resident and advised of the noise complaint. Officers issued a verbal warning and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:42 a.m., officers responded to a report of a subject removal at Smith’s. Officers met with the store manager who requested an individual be removed from the property and issued a trespass warning. Officers met with the individual, issued the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Officers met with the groundskeeper who reported a solar light missing, and completed a report of the incident.

Jan. 12

At 11:51 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an outstanding warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Jerry Callahan, 46, of Wamsutter, under arrest per the active warrant. During the arrest the subject was allegedly uncooperative and resisted, and officers located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on their person. Officers issued citations for alleged interference with a peace officer and unlawful possession of controlled substance powder or crystalline less than 3 grams - third offense. Officers transported Callahan to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:21 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Hitching Post Drive and Stage Place and issued the driver, Ethan White, age 18, of Green River, a citation for alleged following too closely.

Jan. 13

At 1:27 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of East 4th South Street and Uinta Drive and issued the driver, Chad Frazier, 22, of Green River, for alleged speeding.

At 4:57 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of West Flaming Gorge Way and North 4th West Street and issued the driver, Mary Williams, 55, of Green River, a citation for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 10:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision at the Green River Recreation Center. Officers met with the owner of a vehicle who reported their vehicle had been hit while parked in the parking lot. Officers reviewed video footage and were able to identify the suspect vehicle. Officers met with the driver of the suspect vehicle and issued a citation for alleged hit and run, to a juvenile, 16, of Green River. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:12 p.m., officers collected prescription medications from the drop box in the GRPD lobby, booked in the medication for destruction, and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:43 p.m., officers responded to a report of a citizen assist reported at the GRPD office. Officers met with an individual who wanted to remove a previously reported stolen firearm from the NCIC record. Officers completed an NCIC removal form and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an intoxicated individual laying in a hallway on Upland Way. Officers met with the individual and ascertained the individual was locked out of their residence. Officers assisted the individual into their residence and completed a report of the incident.

Jan. 14

At 7:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision at Taco Bell. It was reported a vehicle slid into the building then left the area. While officers were on scene they were contacted by the driver of the vehicle. Officers met with the driver and manager of the building and took statements. Officers issued the driver, Shaylee Huebbe, 25, of Green River, a citation for alleged compulsory auto insurance and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault. Officers met with all parties involved in a physical altercation and obtained their statements. At the request of the property owner a trespass warning was issued to one of the individuals and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Jan. 15

At 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of larceny on Schultz Street. Officers met with an individual who reported their license plate was taken off of their vehicle and was currently on another vehicle not owned by them. Officers located the plate affixed to a vehicle and made contact with the vehicle owner. Officers recovered the license plate, returned it to the owner, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of a subject removal at The Brewery. Officers met with the bartender who requested to have an individual removed from the property. Officers met with the individual and ascertained the individual had an active warrant. Officers confirmed the warrant, placed Marshal Cruz, 22, of Rock Springs, under arrest per the warrant, transported Marshal to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident.

Jan. 16

At 1:17 a.m., officers responded to a report of a loud party causing a disturbance on West Teton Boulevard. Officers made contact at the residence, issued a verbal warning for alleged disturbing the peace, and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on Washington Street. Officers met with an individual who reported they clicked on a fraudulent Ebay pop up and was directed to a fraudulent Ebay customer service representative who gained access to their device, which led to fraudulent charges on their bank cards. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Jan. 17

At 11:56 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on North 7th West Street. It was reported one vehicle was traveling south on N 7th W and as the vehicle was passing by another vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied on the west side of the roadway, the passenger side of the first vehicle struck the driver’s side of the second vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on West Flaming Gorge Way. Officers met with the manager for Uhaul who reported a Uhaul trailer was missing. Officers entered the missing trailer into the NCIC reporting system and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision on East 2nd South Street. It was reported one vehicle was traveling east on E 2nd S and as the vehicle approached another vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied on the south side of the roadway, the front passenger side of the first vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of the second vehicle, causing the second vehicle to move forward, striking a third vehicle which was parked and unoccupied in front of the second vehicle. The first vehicle was then seen leaving the area. Officers made contact with the driver of the first vehicle, took statements, and issued a citation for alleged hit and run - unattended property to Georgia Castillo, 63, of Green River. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Jan. 18

At 12:32 a.m., officers responded to an unconscious intoxicated individual laying on the ground outside on Kentucky Street. Officers and EMS responded and met with the individual. Due to the individual’s intoxicated state the individual was transported by ambulance and officers completed a report of the incident.
